Every time you drive on the highway, there is a non-zero probability that you’ll end up in a fatal or near-fatal car accident. Should this fact negatively impact our view of automobiles? With situations like the second one, I always default to the fact that it’s his house too. If he were a single parent and decided not to finish the shiplap job, no one would be there to give him grief about it. In real life, this man actually has to justify to his wife what he does or doesn’t want to do in his OWN DAMN HOUSE as if she’s his boss. It’s beyond ridiculous and it’s hard to stomach how pervasive this type of attitude is in mainstream society.
