The story I've heard is that they banned the sub because they cyber harassed individuals. They left their subreddit and started harassing mods on another site (imugr). They have no issue with any subreddits, it's when those subreddits start to harass others is where they draw the line. I don't think this was the first time this happened from what I've read either. They banned the subreddit creepypics. I don't have any proof on any of this but it's what's getting spread around.

Because it is not the government that is censoring you. The laws were created so that people had ways to protect themselves from other people lying about things. The 1st amendment only applies to the government. In other words, the government cannot sue you for saying bad things about it if you wanted to apply it to something similar to this case. However, an individual can sue you, because they are not the government. To be fair, getting a divorce in the 50's was almost social suicide. Then the late 60's came around with feminism pushing for women to be equal and divorce was seen as a way to do that. So, cheating definitely could've been common in the 50's and basing it on divorce trends of a different time doesn't prove that. Also, porn did exist in the 50's.

This guy confessed to raping multiple boys and had more come forward afterwards.
