Thank you, and I totally agree with what you are saying in terms of standards and compatibility. I think you actually nailed the thought I couldn’t articulate, which is a feeling of unequal experiences. Honestly, if you take the divorce out we’re almost identical in terms of dating history ... that said a marriage is big part of the book. Yes, and thank you - I definitely will not silence that little voice in my head. The divorce was apparently nothing scandalous; he’s very straight forward about the fact that they got married too young and didn’t realize/understand what marriage is actually like - it seems like they weren’t on the same page about how things were going to go in terms of their careers and where they were going to live (she ended up moving to a farm in North Dakota).
