| 1 | What made you to divorce? We mutually lost interest in each other and our relationship was a facade. She would never leave so I did. She filed first but it was the best decision for us. Fortunately we were both financially independent of one another and owned multiple houses. I took one and she took one. No kids between us. It was sad and it hurt but it was the right thing to do. Nothing salacious, it was just love story minus the love. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/08/20 09:28 PM |
| 1 | Need to know how to protect myself in dovorceNot sure if you are able to but where you file for divorce matters. If your home of record is in a friendlier divorce state, take leave and file there. Use your parents residence to file but whatever you do try not to file in California. The state will bury you. It can devastate you financially. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/08/20 09:24 PM |
| 1 | Every Friday I try to see the sunrise. This journey is long. The journey is emotionally and physically taxing. Dont give up and fight through the pain. You’re worth it!Nice picture. Today it looks like a beautiful sunset but other days it looks like a place to drown. Stay in the fight. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/08/20 09:19 PM |
| 2 | FinancesJust speaking from experience, you can't buy your kids love so you can save a ton of money there. No amount of trips, clothes or other superficial purchase will substitute for genuinely engaging with your kids. Spending time with your kids doesn't have to be expensive but for them it has to be worthwhile. Good luck. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/08/20 09:16 PM |
