Do women not go up in value with money and status?

SMV? Sorry, I'm new around here.

I'm more of a Dalek-lite. I have some capacity for human emotion, though I view it more as a tool for eradicating humanity than anything else. I'm also much more nimble than your average rolling trashcan.

But that's not how we defined it. We never defined it. You might have some (fairly reasonable) assumptions about how it is defined, and you might be upset with me for claiming to be superior when there is no measure that you can think of by which I am not inferior at football, but you just have to nut up and accept that my claims are fucking valid because they're completely subjective and that's the measure by which you define human interaction.

So you're just willing to allow an assertion of relative value go unanswered? I can claim to be better at football than you, that's subjective. You might beat me in every game we ever play, but you would allow that subjective claim to stand, even though I've repeatedly demonstrated a failure to uphold my own subjective statements?

I never expect citations from anybody other than troll accounts. Real people just fuck off and give up, but trolls fight for engagement.

idk what this is even supposed to mean but men are generally more morally upstanding, Citation needed less violent, Citation needed less angry, Citation needed more logical, Citation needed kinder, Citation needed more nurturing, Citation needed and more reasonable than women. Citation needed

Or does it...? No, you're right, it doesn't. (I can't believe I wasted a dramatic pause on that.)

Well, that's one way of seeing it. Another way of looking at the same situation would be to say that every historical figure that you dispise for their treatment of women in that era could have been a model of human rights if they had existed a century in our future. If you are willing to judge any man based on a potential context, then you must judge every man based on every potential context.

200 years ago, every free person was a slavery apologist, every man was a misogynist, every woman was an anti-suffrigist, every worker was a union-breaker, every company owner was an exploitive opportunist, every pastor was ready to burn a homosexual alive, and every scientific advancement needed to be accepted by the church before being disclosed to the public. 200 years ago was not just a long fucking time ago, but three whole social iterations ago. 200 years ago, I could have bought a thousan…

Actually, there's sufficient legal ground to easily argue FOR gay marriage. If I can marry Sally because I'm a man, but Jane can't because she's a woman, then that's the very definition of sexual discrimination.

They don't want to hear from men, or to hear men's perspectives. They do want to speak to other women, to hear what they think, and share women's perspectives. I'm still not entirely sure how hearing from a man prevents you from also hearing from other women. This isn't like a public forum where your right to freedom of speech is protected. You can't just butt in on a private conversation and when they ask you to leave, say "But my right to free speech!" It is a public forum in that one does not…

Your view of the potential variations on the scenario is too narrow. This could be a closet homosexual paying for a female companion to maintain an illusion that prevents discrimination, or a socially awkward person sinking into debt just for something close to emotional connection. On the other hand, it could be a wealthy individual purchasing social status by having someone more attractive at their side than their peers, or somebody who wants regular sexual activity in a safe situation without…

The rationale is that it's a place where women can come to hear from other women. If you allow men there, then you couldn't go there to hear from other women. You'd go there and hear from men and women. That's not quite the same thing, and defeats the purpose of seeking out a forum for women to talk to other women. Actually, it's exactly the same thing, except that occasionally men would speak IN ADDITION TO the women you are speaking with. You are free to choose not to engage them in conversati…

One's opinion of who is being exploited is dependent upon what one values. One party sacrifices material things for social acceptance, emotional connection, and sexual gratification. The other trades time, sexual favors, and control of their personal life for wealth. Clearly this is a mutually accepted arrangement, so to claim that either party is being exploited is to claim that one party has a weaker position from which to negotiate the arrangement. The entire nature of the arrangement, howeve…

There is nothing wrong with any group of peers engaging in discussions about common concerns. When that group actively seeks to exclude people based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or creed, however, it is actively engaging in bigotry. No amount of indignation or accusations of victimization can change that. If somebody enters the subreddit and actually commits one of the acts you speak of, then by all rights drop the banhammer. If a person enters the forums to engage in civil discussion, h…

Tough to say what's wrong with that. I mean, it's a subreddit about sexual discrimination, so it only makes sense that it should be practiced there.
