Agreed. Many of the factors at play here are quite subjective. But I don't doubt that you've witnessed this dynamic (quality men dating high n-count women). I just don't see it often in the circles I roam through.

Well, I won't spare any tears for those men when the risks of dating promiscuous women manifest themselves: Cheating, divorce, cuckoldry, etc. Patience is a virtue, my brothers! Listen to Uncle Nomad when he says, "Vet her like you were choosing a Presidential running mate."

That's curious, I have to admit. Do you think you could try to explain this disparity? Did the women who "were quick to have casual sex" divulge their complete sexual history to their husbands and boyfriends? Were the chaste women largely less attractive than their sluttier counterparts?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/17 04:42 PM

but by and large these women are getting LTR’d or married, regardless. They are being LTR'd by men who I would perceive to be complete and utter chumps. You might disagree. Whatever disagreement I have with those men, however, is largely axiomatic and based on values. I doubt we would see eye-to-eye.

My criticism was the very definition of constructive: "Shorten the piece and arrive at the point more quickly."

I think we're arguing past one another, my friend. This is why I asked OP to clarify whether we were discussing the matter in the context of the SMV or RMV. In the case of the SMV, I agree with you. If I were to have an ONS (something which I generally avoid), asking about the girl's N-Count would be the last question I pose her, right below her preference for pancakes: With maple syrup or chocolate.

There is a broad ravine separating "slut" and "won't put out," my friend. Nevertheless, I'll admit that your central point (sluttiness, or the willingness to have sex following low/zero investment) is valid and well-noted.

Imagine two women who, for the sake of this experiment, are identical in every manner. Their one difference? One has slept with five men, and the other with 50. I have never met a man who would select the latter for an LTR. Never. If you agree with the above, then we have established that men exhibit a near-universal preference for non-promiscuous women. Moving from that proposition, it's simply a matter of options. Men with many options will reject sluts. Men with few options will not. Do you d…

Point of information: Are we discussing the SMV or RMV? For the sake of this post, I will assume the latter. They both turn off a small % of the population Assuming the men in question are aware of her promiscuity, sluts turn off the broad majority of men. Few and far between are the men who would knowingly enter a long-term, committed relationship with a slutty girl. Additionally, most women have the means to become a slut. Ugly women, fat women, hell... even disabled women! Beyond their vagina…

Agreed 100%. As I struggled through this incredibly long-winded and laborious tale--which could have easily been summed up in a 100 words--I kept imagining it would culminate in some unexpected manner. Nope. A girl had entirely-avoidable sex with an out-of-shape, over-the-hill weirdo which she later regreted. She made conscious choices every step of the way, and we're supposed to... what? Feel sympathy for her? Feel sympathy for women who put themselves in these positions? I honestly don't get i…

Most of the men here are Red. Most of the women here are Blue. Male and female sexual strategies are mutually antagonistic. I don't see how we can fully reconcile these viewpoints.

I've been a lurker for the better part of three years, and an active poster under various pseudos for just over a year. I think the dumpster fire analogy, if we assume a degree of levity and cheekiness, is largely accurate. The same 20-25 questions and subjects are explored, debated, and dissected ad nauseum by the same 80-100 regular posters. Their rhetoric rarely evolves and their positions are rarely shifted. People take brief moratoriums to focus on their lives, but when they return, the reg…

Almost as many as claim to be in the 666 club. Some of us are. Whether you believe we are successful with women or not, however, is largely inconsequential. Why does BP always try to make things personal? Instead of accusing us of being incognito incels, wouldn't it be more productive to debate the merits of our beliefs and attitudes?

They say "suck my dick" to spite their enemies and they say things like "this exam fucked me in the ass". Yet they want their girlfriend to suck their dicks and they want to fuck their girlfriends in the ass. It does not come from a place of love. At best they pretend to love to get their way, but what they want is use and degrade the woman. These are all very intriguing points, I have to say, and are certainly worthy of discussion! I'm surprised how little notice was taken, among our peers here, of the title. The dangers and consequences of unfettered male sexuality, and the attendant need to control it, are perhaps among the most over-indulged and oft-discussed subjects in the disciplines of gender studies and modern psychology. Over and above that, in most forms of popular media, the ideal male is one who carefully measures and mediates his expression of masculinity. He's allowed to be "manly," but only under the appropr…

/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/17 07:39 PM

A fair answer. I just wanted to ensure that, as long as we were agreeing that unfettered, male neo-lithic sexual strategies "tends to create problems," we agreed that the female analog can also be problematic. I'm of the position that, since we don't yet have a means by which to transcend our biology, it's best to adopt a Stoic mindset: We cannot change nature, and so (for now) we must live in accordance with it.

You thought wrong. Sexual strategy is amoral. Human beings can, and should, choose to be moral. Our underlying programming, however, is pre-ethical and is a result of natural selection. You have no frame of reference. You're out of your element. If you're going to debate the merits and veracity of TRP, please do us all the kindness of at least understanding it.

Yes, because the former (cheating for a new relationship) involves emotional and physical infidelity. When men cheat, it's typically just for quick sexual gratification. Women have creepy, cynical blueprints which they deploy over the course of weeks and months.

I think the problem stems from the fact that PPD women often make two glaringly contradictive points, one of which is OP's. To wit: Point #1: Relationships are transactional Women are people, and like all people, they want what's best for them. Everybody wants the best partner they can get, and most people agree that it's absolutely normal to date around in search of this best partner. All people are calculating in their interpersonal and intersexual experiences. Men and women are the exact same…

I'll answer from the perspective of a man: 15-18: Lose your virginity, but focus on your passions, interests, and education. At this stage, I would make sure my son didn't feel pressured to "slay." In your budding adolescence, as long as you're well-socialized, it's okay to prioritize Counter-Strike and D&D with your buddies, or your advanced classes in school. 19-22: Two or three long-term, university relationships. Perhaps a few shorter-lived, but nevertheless consummated relationships. 23-25:…

Yes, it's not a codified part of international maritime law, it's not mentioned in UNCLOS or any other convention governing conduct on international waters. Can you outline what these social mechanisms and conventions are that are designed to prop up women? I'll do my best, but in all honesty, my intention was to underscore the lack of supports for men, not the surplus for women. Nevertheless, here's a brief list off the top of the dome: Women naturally engender more sympathy and compassion from society writ-large and individuals. Most guys want sexually exciting women though and they’re probably more likely to cheat That's a great point! And I believe you're absolutely correct. My philosophy on the matter, now that you've got me thinking, is to date sexually inexperienced or unexciting (or "dull," as you put it) women and simply train the hell out of them. Yeah, on the whole, we INTJs often lack confidence and our thinking is often self-critical. This helps when assessing and perfecting ideas or thoughts, but doesn't provide any benefits in the social arena. This is a fantastic comment, and so I hope you don't mind if I piggy-back! Men are programmed to get thrill from women and stability from themselves, whereas women are programmed to want both of those things from men. I couldn't have described the phenomenon more succinctly. Most men are forced to create stability for themselves, because the world is a dispassionate, uncaring place when it comes to the fates of men. We're expected to tread water or drown--there are no social mechanisms or conven…

It seems PPD regulars often fail to distinguish between exclusivity and commitment. Once I've started dating (and especially once I've started having sex with) a woman, I expect us to be exclusive. This means that we both, temporarily, set aside other options in order to focus on one another. If the relationship pans out, great; if we find we have irreconcilable differences, then we can go back to flirting and fucking other people. He's actively texting a woman who is clearly interested. At best, he likes the attention. At worst, you're not fulfilling enough for him and he's keeping her around for whatever purposes in case you don't work out. A respectable man would not be texting a woman who asks him to hook up. Period. I agree with all of your comments, however, I would like OP to elaborate: Was the message unsolicited and completely out-of-the-blue? Was the message part of a longer conversation? You wanted to fit in with the "cool" kids. You were impressionable and wanted social credibility. Not to discourage OP, but I agree. I'm going to make the assumption that /u/RedDespair has been around the block. So have I. Our experiences, and those of millions of other men, tell us that women who have septum piercings, tattoos, and brightly-coloured hair are much more likely to either engage in behaviors we feel are destructive to LTRs (male attention-seeking, promiscuity, etc.) or possess personal attributes which are off-putting (insecurity, lack of identity, poor self-esteem). Okay...question this, how do you get people to become aware and discuss it? Great question... Unfortunately, I'm not really certain. In the context of RMV and SMV, I believe that we're in the penultimate phase of the Mouse Utopia Experiment. Nothing can be done to unring the bell. It's not in women's interest to pay attention to the woes of unattractive, unappealing men. Not allowing these guys any sort of breathing room is one of the many things that enable the problem to manifest. Precisely, b…

So what if they check out? Well, there's a reason why countries like Japan, Germany, China, Italy, and Portugal are researching and implementing policies which aim to correct any disequilibrium in their gender, birthrate, labour market engagement figures. A plurality of men checking out of relationships, families, and child-rearing is problematic from an administrative standpoint, for any country. A plurality of men checking out of the labour market and broader social life is a basically a recip…

But even in your description of Alphas and Betas, I can see that you're not abiding by your own definition. Who builds civilizations? Betas. Betas hold steady jobs, build roads and bridges I'm sorry, but even a cursory reference to history will show that the broad majority of human civilizations were built, erected, or carved by what historians (used to) call 'Great Men'. And that's why I feel sorry for those aforementioned female friends. "Succumbing to social pressure," especially when its simultaneously immediate (in the form of a close friend or male sexual partner) and distal (in the form of broader social expectations), is only human. The situation is also bad for guys like me, as the pool of single, attractive women who do not engage in casual sex slowly shrinks throughout the West.

I get that TRP is all about getting [casual sex] Some (I'll even tolerate "much") of /r/TheRedPill is about gaining the skills, attitudes, and expectations which facilitate casual sex. Incidentally, many TRPers (myself included) dislike casual sex, and dislike (in the context of dating) women who engage in casual sex.

Do you agree that the sexual revolution has created a climate where it's perhaps more difficult to "take it slow?" I mean this with regard to social standards (kiss on the third date vs. Netflix and Fucking) and the expectations of the men in question. If your only reaction to "slower" women in a challenging climate is "grow a backbone," well... That certainly doesn't move the conversation forward.

I think this notion deserves to be explored. I know quite a few women who are--by their nature, upbringing, or other unknown factors--uncomfortable with casual, anonymous sex. They prefer to wait, to take things slowly. Typically, they only have sex after some measure of commitment has been secured. And yet, these women are regularly pressured by other women in their social circles to be promiscuous, even to cheat. They're constantly told to "go home with that cute guy." Many of them succumb to …

Yes! Sort of... I'm not certain I agree with your fixation on "lifting" as the standard for female fitness or dateability, but I think we both agree on the underlying problem: It's often lampooned that women criticize the quality of modern men (especially with regards to their inability to commit) and cry out, "Where have all the good men gone?" In my humble opinion, phrases like "jealousy" or "sexual jealousy" are used to negatively reframe what is a perfectly normal and rational reaction to a bad deal. The Beta who is paying for dinner with a reformed slut is feeling the same thing as a man who just bought a used Camry for 50,000USD. When it comes to their sexual and romantic partners, I think men value being "attractive" more than being "supportive." Anyone can provide Girl X with a shoulder to cry on, a house to live in, and a supportive environment in which to raise children. Frankly, TRP's association with Trump only hurts the reputation of its teachings, which means fewer men (especially desperate ones, who could benefit from TRP) will be willing to research and apply them. I'm a black socialist revolutionary. If I agree to shut up about the impending collapse of the neo-liberal capitalist system, they should shut up …

Btw, what happened after the talk? Did he just take your word for it? Did you show any pics or something? Did he ask her and she couldn't deny? It was a long night. As I mentioned, over the course of the night, he vascillated from incredulity to belief, demanding that I stop recounting the tales and then begging me to continue. I agree with NAWALT, despite being very red. I might be one of the rare PPD posters who believes that TRP and TBP are best leveraged in tandem. To continue with the subreddit's "medication" analogy, I think that the Red Pill only works if you chase it with a spoonful of TBP syrup. The core concepts of the Red Pill are largely unimpeachable, in my view. If you are a man who has been unlucky in his affections, it's probably because you've committed one or several of the most common mistakes in cou…

he never finds out about her n-count The marriage would be based on deception, as opposed a basis of truth. If the man in question knew about her promiscuity, he would never have engaged in the relationship to begin with! So she has to lie about a large component of her past in order to secure the relationship. Any such relationship, which is based on a foundation of manipulation and lies, is not likely to be healthy or happy. This is the 21st Century. Her deception will eventually be uncovered.…

Hey, would you be so kind as to link me to the study? Does it really conclude that approximately 10% of women engage (regularly?) or have engaged in one-night stands? I imagine, after crossing the Slut Rubicon, a woman's sexual strategy options are two-fold: [1] Wave the flag high and proud, and pair-up with a similarly-promiscuous man; [2] Hide and obscure her past promiscuity, broadening her available dating pool. I'm not sure which is the more strategic option, but I know which is wiser: The former. I believe honesty, even brutal honesty, is the only way human relationships can prosper. But many may disagree. ...most women are looking for men with good beta qualities and good alpha qualities This is fair, and I'm willing to accept this. Given the permanence of the so-called "dual-mating strategy" as a theme here on PPD, I thought it might be interesting to crowdsource some anecdotes about AF/BB and perhaps glean greater insights. The people in the % of people who refuse to tell / lie / etc. probably have massive positive correlation to their past promiscuity and subsequent guilt/shame. Absolutely! I saw a thread earlier this month which was based on this premise. The notion was, "If a girl has any difficulty divulging her sexual past, she is probably a slut and you should drop her." Naturally, I agreed 100%.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/17 04:24 PM
2

Because prudes are generally prudes because they are inexperienced and do not have the wisdom of experience to confidently say "I like this" and "I do not like that." Prudes can learn! Prudes have potential. Prudes can change. Sluts cannot "unfuck" 40 different dicks. Her N-count cannot change. She carries her experiences and history with her, wherever she goes.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/17 04:20 PM

I'm certainly reducing my dating pool by avoiding sluts, but for me, it's a matter of principle and cannot be negotiated. And as promiscuity becomes more common, my dating pool will become ever smaller. So be it!
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/17 04:17 PM
1

This is true. But I think it's ultimately a question of risk-reduction. A woman with zero prior experience may be a risk, just as a creditor with zero credit history. But we can all agree that a verified slut is much riskier (bad credit), and that a girl with demonstrated loyalty who has never cheated is less risky (good credit).
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/17 04:14 PM
1

Fair enough. Perhaps it has to do with our respective locations. But throughout my upbringing, "prude" simply meant a woman who lacked any qualities of sexual adventurousness. A prude might sleep with you, but only after copious courting and in the most bland and uninspiring fashion imaginable. But I think you can teach a prude to be slutty (in the confines of the relationship). Most prudes, anyway, assuming that their prudishness does not find root in religious dogma.

You should probably have a very formal wedding and invite a shit of people When I get to that stage in my life, yes, I will most likely have a formal wedding in the presence of friends and family. Or they just don't like sex / have no sex drive. How would you get around that? I suppose you couldn't. If a woman is asexual, then she isn't a candidate for a sexual relationship, is she? Also, I don't think that "no sex drive" is what people understand from the word "prude."

Do you genuinely and honestly believe that the relative bump in sexual success enjoyed by a man in his 40s (who, statistically speaking, is likely to be married anyway) somehow is at balance with the literal buffet of top-quality cock on offer to 18-26-year-old women? No way in hell, brother. I know "average, middle-aged men," and their romantic and sexual lives have nothing in common with that of a 22-year-old college girl. To say that the "scales tip back the other way" is disingenuous at best…

Is that really your argument? Come on, you can do better.

You're describing the Top 20% of men, once again. Most men don't have "success" or "game." Frankly, I have to laugh, because you're only proving TRP correct. When women think of "men," they think of the Top 20% of men. Even in the context of a discussion on gender relations, women can't seem to accept the fact that the broad majority of men lack romantic or sexual success.

Nevertheless, the statistics are quite unequivocal: The majority of female attention (as opposed to sex, since you imply Tinder likes don't equate to sex) is reserved for the Top 20% of men. And while sex is great, validation of one's physical charm and appeal is also important. And that validation is only being given to a small minority of men, motivating the remaining 80% to work their asses off for some kind of attention or appreciation.

You've just made a lot of assumptions, I'm afraid.... You have assumed all men with low standards are bitter. This is not the case. Many men sleep with and enter LTRs with their "looksmatch" (as opposed to the top 20% of women) quite happily. You have implied that these low-SMV men somehow blame women? I think you've spent too much time on /r/incels. Their attitude does not reflect those of the majority of less-than-handsome men.

It is, but I believe OP is extrapolating a well-established RP principle (80 vs. 20) and using it to explain seemingly unrelated social phenomena. I'm not entirely convinced myself.

If men universally raised their standards and refused to have sex with women below a certain attractiveness threshold, everyone would be left unhappier, especially the less-than-beautiful women who rely on the validation and attention of random men for their self-worth (which is actually a large plurality of women).

A lot of girls use Tinder to mess around and don't actually want sex. What does this sentence mean? By "mess around," do you mean to say "sleep around?" Or do you mean that they use Tinder for validation or entertainment? Guys are the ones who are up for casual sex, shocker. Tinder-facilitated casual sex almost always includes one man and one woman. Shocker!

As is so often the case when women describe the "male experience," you are describing the experience of the Top 20% Men. Can an average-IQ, average-height, average-looks man in the Western world indulge in casual sex into his 50s, and then land comfortably in a marriage with a "hot 32-year-old?" No damn way. Apex fallacy, as usual.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
