I feel a lot of pressure not to cry in public as well, especially not in front of men, so I totally get where you're coming from. It sucks, because I generally cry every time I get angry, and I am generally met by confusion and embarassment. People wonder why I get so emotional or "overreact" - for me it's a physiological reaction, and not something I can control. I wish that people would be more understanding of differences between individuals, and not judge because we don't react in exactly th…

There needs to be better male birth control, yesterday. However it seems the reason there is none is because drug companies have believed until now that there is no market for it. Guys! Get out there and get your friends interested in male contraception! Write companies developing the drugs telling them you would be a customer for life! Take your reproductive rights into your own hands.

Group think is possible within any group and certainly affects feminist blogs as well. However please do be cautious because you are now entering another community that is similarly affected. You will feel very accepted, very encouraged because your opinions are agreed with, and the hurt you feel is sympathized with. Women can't be portrayed in the media as buffoonish or be the butt of jokes, cause, cause, well cause that would be sexist. The film Bridesmaids has eviscerated your argument, try again.

Ridiculous. It's the same as me refusing to befriend any male co-workers because they just might be rapists and I'd give them the wrong idea. After all I have other friends so what can they offer me? I'd never use this type of "preemptive" measure, and neither should you. In fact, I think you don't really do this.

So the concern is with the 1% "stick of dynamite" that screws over the 99% rational "sticks" You do realize that this line of argument is tantamount to me treating all men as if they are potential rapists right? It's as if I'd posted that I never get to know my male co-workers because if I do I'd be worried that one of them might think that gave him the right to rape me. Either way, this comes across as nothing more than an excuse to avoid associating with the opposite sex based on a stereotype.…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
