Because people can already inform themselves about it because it’s only facts. There isn’t really room for interpretation. Putting laws in place that forbid FGM/MGM is absolutely not fact based and entirely depends on the value system of the society in question. 7	You can't say you we're lied to. No one gets told that growing up though. Sure, if you are 25 and haven’t figured that out, you probably live behind the moon, but people still hear stereotypical bs about how the world works growing up. Not even only in dating, but in general.
