But I worked hard. I completely changed some aspects of my personality as well as work hard on my appearance. I am pretty much sure that if I haven’t straightened my hair, or didn’t lost some weight, or not change my conversational skills, I wouldn’t be in this position. I used to have a massive victim mentality and resentful for “being too ugly to date” which wasn’t helping me at all. In fact, I was pushing people away. Right now I’m living in a country where guys also put in effort into their …

Exactly, I took a break from this and all dating subs for 3 months because it was messing with my mentality and self sabotaging my relationships. Guess what? I immigrated became more successful on all my dates, and even hookups, because I didn’t immediately think the world was against me or assume the worst about the opposite gender. In fact I have a boyfriend now after lamenting about it for months. Honestly subs like these are like the blind leading the blind. If I heard that bit about why wom…

I respectfully disagree. A women’s worth is unfortunately tied around her looks. Sometimes ugly women are treated less than trash and ignored simply because she’s not pretty. When most people think of the “average” woman, she is most likely cute. But guys have no such pressure on them by general society. They can still be smart and successful even if ugly. The same doesn’t hold for an ugly woman

Thanks for letting me know this. This is what I needed to finally cut him off and reject him. He keeps on coming back into me life when it’s obvious he doesn’t like me other than when he wants sex. He keeps on telling me he is going to break up with his gf and I am the biggest god damn idiot in the world. The guilt is also eating me away but I liked him so much. I don’t want to be used anymore, so reframing him in a negative light gives me no other reason to talk to him. He could say I like you …

Why do guys get jealous when they don’t have a right to? There was this guy who always jerked himself off to his speculation that I “loved” him or something. He had a girlfriend. I slept with him and told him straight up I had other sex partners and he was so jealous and asked to see my phone. Fuck him

Oh my god, of course he’s trash. Good on you for leaving him!

Sorry what? He’s trash but how does that justify cheating? Why didn’t you break up with him first?

I recently found that I’m mostly only attracted to asian boys. I’m asian too and idk, I have a type.

I need help because this sounds exactly like me. Everyone in my life has told me to stop dating but I can’t. I really just want a short term relationship because I’m lonely.

Wait this is exactly as if I wrote it. Am I able to be saved? I am SO unhappy because I crave physical affection really soon but I am emotionally traumatized by being pumped and dumped.

But he’s also inexperienced and never had a gf before allegedly. So I thought he was just excited??

Oh shit yeah. There’s this guy who couldn’t stop calling me cute, like the cutest person in my city, etc. I was flattered. But it turns out all he wanted was to get into my bed. But he wants to meet again. Is this a red flag?? What happens when you get into a relationship with a person like this? He stopped aggressively pursuing me, so I just assumed that he is not interested anymore. He’s receptive if I try to set up something, but didn’t make the first move...

Yeah I know I’m a lost cause. But I hate playing games. If he loses interest in me because he’s put off by me showing interest, I will drop him. Already emotionally dropped him.

I’m a dumb bih and asked him out Saturday anyways a DAY later. He said he had plans. Well oops I guess. I should relax...

I LOVE this idea. I always get super depressed when I’m ghosted but this makes me feel better.

I feel like it’s an ego issue and a low self esteem issue. I know I should stop dating, but I really just want a short term relationship while I’m in Japan. Likewise, it’s hard to find a therapist here imo
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/01/20 03:05 AM

I don’t know why but I have this issue where I REALLY like someone after the first date, especially if they show disinterest, but I like them less as I get to know them. Maybe because I’m a hopeless romantic?

I don’t get how oral sex isn’t in the same realm as actual sex. Will a guy treat you differently once he’s in you? I only had that happen once.

I’m reading this thread and this is all shit that I would have done for a guy. I should let the guy be the one doing this for me.

I accidentally did this with my ex’s messages because I didn’t know it was unrecoverable. But honestly that was SO helpful during my recovery.

Why do I chose guys who ghost me after sleeping with me then? Idk

Yeah a guy with a girlfriend played me hard when we went drinking together. I hated it.

I wonder if that’s why I’ve been having so low success, because I put out too fast...

Yeah, I probably need therapy before I date. My attachment issues are the worst. It’s actively making me unhappy
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/01/20 11:27 PM

I tried this but I can’t. I literally fall for every single one of my hookups, especially when the ghost me. I don’t like them anymore if they like me back though, which is weird. It’s the worse, but I think I feed off their external validation? So I decided I need to stop casual sex because it’s not healthy for me.

Yeah I appreciate it tbh, even my friends do this, and tbh it’d be kind of rude to not text my friend, so why is it different with a love interest?

Tinder has been shit. Every guy I talked to on there only wanted sex. Actually the worst. I had success with OKC in the states and Pairs in Japan. Generally because guys state what they want.

Yeah, admittedly a guy who complimented me this way, I let him into my pants. I’m ashamed and he hasn’t texted me back. I think I’m just going to ghost him since I have many other options...

UGH the people I matched from MIT expected me to go to them to hookup in their room without having to put any effort. No thanks. Other guys WAY hotter and more successful put in 10xs more effort than them, so fuck off.

If he goes back and eats how he used to, he will lose the weight. Trust me. After going to Asia for 5 months, I lost 20 pounds.

Exactly! I regret not being picky enough. It has led me to my worst dating experiences. I was emotionally abused, stalked, and more by guys who I didn’t even find attractive! But I “gave them a chance”, because I listened to all the guys on reddit. I am so done sacrificing my emotional health for others.

Lol but I play video games too :( ! I think as with anything, don’t let video games replace you. But I am glad you found the types of people you’re compatible with (or rather incompatible)! I think it’s valid to not want to be with someone if you disagree with one of their hobbies. However, I think it’s harsh to discredit video games as a pass time as childish. As a writer and developer, I really appreciate the effort into making these games.

Huh... I really do only get infatuated with guys because they make ME feel good and then can’t stand it when they lose interest ME. I realized I never actually loved a guy. It was all about my ego and being addicted to validation from outside sources. Realizing this would have saved me a lot of “heart break”. Especially since I missappropriated my insecurities as love.

I think I’m still going to take the risk. I know how shitty it is to feel being ghosted. So as a way to become a better person, I’ve decided to be more honest to myself and others. I just got to do a better job picking the people I interact with in my life next time. (Obviously doesn’t apply if the guy already shows some mental instability)

LOL yeah. i rejected a Japanese LVM because I’m not into ghosting. He threw a hissy fit and threatened to stalk me. Fuck him.

That makes sense. I have had a string of heart breaks by Japanese dudes this way. The only serious dates I’ve been on were with foreigners (who unfortunately aren’t my type). Since I’m an exchange student, it’s hard to find someone serious because I’m leaving. All I want is a fling though :/

I fricken identify with this so much. I always feel as if my mom was holding back on my self esteem from being healthy. Every single day I was reminded how I wasn’t good enough, or fat, etc. I still love her, and I know she means well in her culture, but I am glad I got away from her for myself.

I fucking love this. Sometimes I get sick of how misogynistic east asia is that I forget that I can just opt out of dating as well.

I have no idea. But I’m sick of guys tryna get me to speak with them at their place for “language exchange”.

Lose 40 pounds. Or at least to a point where my stomach is flat and my jawline is defined. If not, then I’m getting chin lipo. Whiter teeth. Self care dictates I must brush my teeth at least once a day minimum. No more excuses being lazy. Workout/Exercise 30 min a day. Just to be healthy. Become fluent in Japanese. Or work towards it while I’m still here. Stop dating and start making my self confidence better. Also self travel and finding comfort in myself.*** This is v important.

Most of the time they do, because that’s just how guys are. They will fuck anything that moves.

Why did you guys break up if you don’t mind? I realized it’s hard to find good guys and it’s making me depressed.

There is no shame in who you were in the past. Just focus on bettering yourself in the present. Embrace your past for shaping you today.

Thank you for writing a detailed response like this! And almost everybody around me said I’m not ready to date, and I’d have to agree. I’m not in the position mentally to have a healthy relationship because I don’t know what I want.

I’m in a foreign country as an exchange student. I want to learn Japanese by talking to locals. I want to find someone to date because I’m lonely.
