2	Female Privilege If you’re talking about reusable pads, then: They’re more expensive than normal menstrual products (although the cost builds up if you buy normal pads/tampons the initial payment is too much for some people and can only pay over time, and it’s not like a period is going to wait until you have menstrual products). A lot of them don’t work for women who have heavy periods. 5	Female Privilege If you’re suggesting women who don’t afford tampons to bleed freely like women in prehistoric times (who had much less periods than women do now, because they were often pregnant or too unhealthy to have periods) that would pose a serious biohazard, because blood would be getting everywhere. You can’t stop a period with a few layers of public restroom toilet paper. 6	Female Privilege It’s because tampons/pads are a necessity for people with periods. If they don’t have those their periods quickly become a biohazard for others because it’s hard to stifle a period with cheap toilet paper, and it tends to get everywhere.
