Okay, so the people vote for the electors, who are in turn pledged to vote for a specific candidate. I understand that they're not legally obligated to stand by their pledge, but it happens anyway. You obviously hold contempt for America, or Americans, but that doesn't bother me. The people's vote does matter. I know it's possible to win the election without winning the overall popular vote, and I don't necessarily agree with the way things work, but the popular vote in a state does decide which candidate gets the electoral votes. I'm pretty sure of that. If you can prove me wrong, I would be happy to see some sources.
