As hinted to, that is in the realm of the rules regarding child support. I agree that they are not fair from what I've perceived, and should be reworked. On that note, a quick search brought me to this. So it is possible to have the payment reviewed, contradicting what I had thought in my previous post.

Just for the record: Child support is not a payment to your ex-wife. It's a sum for the care and support of the child. I don't think it has anything to do in a prenuptial agreement. That said, the child support laws in the US seem ridiculous to me, as it is possible to end up in debt from it. It doesn't take enough factors into consideration, and as far as I know (based on posts I've seen here, not personal research), it doesn't get re-evaluated when the income of the one who has to pay changes.

I see. I do agree with you on some points over the course of this discussion. Trolls are unfortunate for all humans and internet anonymity in general, while they may have a larger effect on women overall. This is why we can't have nice things as they say, as we see more and more pressure amongst various groups and politicians to try and abolish internet anonymity. The best way to go about it in my opinion would be to go for healthy discussions in a place where anyone can post, and facts don't ge…

I think acting hatefully and irresponsibly is much worse than deleting comments, because it encourages that kind of behavior. Well, I think both are bad. Sure, deletion is what a mod is supposed to do when a post does not conform with the rules, but when I see it used as a form of censorship it's just as bad as troll behaviour, in my opinion. The thread in question pointed to such an issue of censorship on feminisms, which is why I keep my standpoint on that subreddit. I see complaints of censor…

I see. I never saw the first crosspost though... Perhaps it didn't really catch on if you're writing the truth, while the one I saw did. There were some screenshots in it, which I seem to recall had some relevant replies that shouldn't warrant a delete (in my opinion), but I can't seem to find that specific thread with the screenshots now. As for the kloo2yoo issue, it certainly seems he has some personal issues when you put it like that, but I still don't think his trolling or bigotry has much …

Troll guys like to vote on similar mindsets, which is why they get positive votes and vote negatively on other things. And I won't deny that there are bigoted people in here too, but I don't think they're on the moderator team. You'd have a lot more downvotes a lot quicker if the general MensRights reader had been out to downvote you. The case right now is that you get some downvotes, and (I assume) no upvotes.

Here's the thread in question. It was only posted elsewhere after the deletion had started. The thread title complained about the moderation, which is why I bothered complaining to the mod team. Sure, some downvoting may have occurred afterwards, but not all of it. If it wasn't you who deleted the posts, I'm sorry. Nevertheless, I complained at the time, and you were the only one adamant in protecting the deletions, without really giving an explanation that fit the case. The bigot comment was a …

I won't deny that there some jerks here. Often they get downvoted, or at least not a lot of upvotes even when they post here. Some of the threads I see just makes me want to facepalm. Both here and on feminisms, a lot of threads look at one specific case that promotes their case, and actively proceed deny everything that says otherwise. The issue you get with PMs is, sad to say, a trolling issue. Perhaps it's a bit mixed with how you moderate and delete comments, but I assure you that these comm…

We don't delete things because they have upvotes. We delete them because they violate the rules. The only reason I bothered to complain in the first place was that there was a thread in which you had posted several times, and only after you had been downvoted many of the top rated comments were deleted. The thread as a whole wasn't deleted, just select comments. The progress of the thread was screenshotted and linked to elsewhere after that happened. Also, quoting you from a message again (the l…

Donna_Juanita is the moderator that censored a bunch of stuff on feminisms by deleting posts that had too much positive karma for her taste. I complained about it to the moderator team, and got a reply from her and another mod. The other mod seemed concerned, but didn't do anything beyond the first reply. Donna_Juanita's justification was (among other messages that I should unsubscribe and not post to her subreddit, both of which I never did anyway): Please read the sidebar. /feminisms is for fe…

This article is a repost from one of my comments, and it's missing some contextualizing words. I'll correct some of them. ✗ Russian > ✓ Russ (has nothing to do with Russia) ✗ Tydlege > ✓ Clear/perceptible ✗ Gnukking > ✓ Rubbing/grinding ✗ Jerking off > ✓ Rubbing pants (in this context, it literally says "jerking off")

I see. I didn't know there was a big difference between the two words, but looked it up now. Homicide actually seems to refer to both (killed regardless of intent), while manslaughter is unintended homicide and murder is premeditated homicide. Those are just the legal terms though, and many people seem to use them interchangeably in my experience.

The US jail sentences are about as strict as they get. The girl was not 21 yet, so she got off easy. Here are some variations of life sentences and related offences.

She was the one jailed for murder. Read the articles, not just the topics. Edit: The gay man was "knocked to the ground" by another teenager prior to the deadly assault, who got 6 years.

And furthermore, Erin Andrews has a much higher profile, which is obviously going to attract a lot more attention from media. I'm not about to trivialize the voyeurism on the boys—voyeurism in the article's sense is wrong regardless of gender. I just think the comparison is unfair in this specific case. There are thousands of videos of girls around the web as well, prompting no media attention whatsoever. Imagine the attention if Robert Pattinson of Twilight-fame had been victimized instead.
