I started reading this book after hearing so much about it but just reading the first few pages, I know what the book is about already. It's pretty much what I learned in elementary school of don't be a pushover, learn to say no, and don't let rely on anyone to validate you. It's ok if you don't have a gf/bf. Very shallow book that can be summarized in a few sentences. I guess it's ok for people who never learned that lesson in life.

The book is really nothing you haven't heard before. the TLDR is basically this. - Don't be a pushover, you don't need anyone else to validate you.

To be honest it's been a while since I last weighed so. But I do know that I have more muscle and overall strength than I've ever had in my entire life. I dress mostly for work which is almost always business casual. I groom myself to a good extent I think. I don't stink, I shower everyday brush my teeth and all that. I believe my haircut is acceptable, again mostly for work but it's not a buzz cut but it's not long just short on the side and a bit on top that I comb back because my dad had his …

I weigh 166. I'm 6' I've been working out 2 to 3 times a week for about a little over a year now. I play games maybe 2 to 3 hours every other night depending on work and family stuff. I used to play games for about 4-5 hours a day but I've since replaced a lot of that time to gym.

Yeah. I'm kind of through feeling bad about myself honestly. I'm at a point where I just don't care. I want to be happy, and I thought the one thing missing was not just having a girlfriend but just female friends so I can get acquainted and maybe find someone but that seems to be out of my reach. I understand that some things aren't meant to be. Right now, I am the most important person in my life, I used to care about other's view of me, I tried to come off as a good person but I guess that do…

You know. I actually did consider surgery not too long ago. But since I've talked to you guys about my situation, I think it's best that I just focus on myself. I don't think I need surgery and I would kind of hate myself if I went through with it. I can own it, for as ugly as I am, it's still me. It may not be what women want, but its me, and I will not give that up.

That very well could be true. I just think that looks is the way to get her attention and if you're good looking you're pretty much gauranteed a chance. When you look like me it's kind of hard to find good qualities about yourself. The women I know have boyfriends that I would consider average but they all have that one thing about them that I feel gives them an attractive feature so it's not surprising that they would choose them. I'll be honest I don't have the courage to ask my few female fri…

The thing is that I'm comfortable enough in saying that most if not all men have at least one thing on them that could be considered attractive or desirable to a woman. When I do see women's boyfriends even I can see why she likes him, for one reason or another. I don't really see those qualities in me, or one that I think women would like. I think based on actions women mostly go for the best looking guys, I don't blame them I just notice that's the case. When they get hit on by an attractive g…

Well, I've read stuff on being persistent and not accepting no for an answer and I'm no expert but that sounds little pushy to me. Then be attractive. I don't think it's that simple. You can't really just magically change you way you look all of a sudden. Well even the nice guy can have girlfriends, so by default I think I even envy the nice guys. It's just that women always talk about the good looking guys and I just wonder how a not so good looking guy like me can even compete with all the guy…

I'm pretty short. 6' and I'm 166lbs. At first I was doing it to look better but I think now I'm doing it more for health reasons/habit (it makes me feel good) cause I don't think I'll be at the physique that most women would find attractive anytime soon. I don't think it's my weight as much as my facial unattractiveness that's working against me, not much I can do about that.

I would agree on the low self esteem part. That I won't deny. I assume that women wouldn't find a positive thing about my appearance because they would have a higher standard than me in picking a potential partner. I think of other guys because essentially they're my competition and they're the standard that's set for women's options.

I understand not all guys who are good with women are flawless. I guess what I meant to say was that most guys that I've seen, as a straight male, even I can see a good physical quality in him. Like if he were to hit on a girl this would help him attract her, whether it's his body, hair, eyes, face, or something on thier physical body that I would believe a girl would compliment or notice about him. When I look at myself I struggle to see something that I feel a woman would like or find attactiv…

Ironically I've done everything except I tried to go out if my comfort zone many times and it just doesn't turn out well. The enjoy yourself and be happy is the one I'm working on right now. I'm considering to just stop trying to talk to women and pretend they don't exist. Focus on myself and forget the whole relationship/partner stuff. Sad but I'm at a loss.

I've made it a life goal last year to lose weight and I'd say I've done a great job. But whenever I hear women talk about q guy being hot, cute, sexy etc. I think that's where I'm out of options unless I get some sort of plastic surgery I don't think I have the natural beauty that most men do.

I've read some articles 9n the subjects but most seem kind of misogynistic or I would come off as a creep because a lot of those pickup lines would be wierd coming from a guy who isn't very attractive like myself. People told me to be myself around women and not to assume all of them are looking for sex. The internet tells me otherwise but in real life it just doesn't seem to translate. I feel physical attraction is what's really disqualifying me from women.

This is what I was thinking of doing. Just stop trying to talk to women and ignore them. Try to focus on myself and forget it all.

Difficult to keep a can do attitude when you've tried and failed so many times. I'm obviously doing something wrong.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
