OK thanks for info! I guess not too many people have my type of phone.

On Android it can still say delivered and the person opened and read the message. It never specifies whether the message was opened or read. At least my Android phone doesn't. Sometimes guys don't reply when they don't know what they want to say. I have had that happen. But really, if he hasn't responded in some fashion you probably have your answer. You want someone who knows they want you and doesn't have to think about it.

As a woman who has recently come back to dating after a long break due to being in an LTR, let me say that the current messages we women get about who is supposed to pay for what are very confusing. We get a lot of messages to the effect that we are supposed to split the bill, esp.on the first date. I have even been told that a guy will assume that you are NOT interested and just trying to get free meal if you let him pay for everything. In an urban area, you might just be running into women who…

You have to " read the room" and see if it's a question that requires a serious answer or not. Most probably it does not require a serious answer and you will be better served with deflecting with banter.

She is in a toxic relationship with the other guy. It will take her a lot of emotional effort to get out of that, and once she does he will try to win her back. She will be vulnerable to going back to him and believing his lies. It sounds like she likes you, and she is trying not to cheat but also desperately needs the emotional support you are giving her. At this point you don't really know whether she is just after validation so she can emotionally cope with staying with the other dude, or whe…

I like the concept of "be the best version of yourself" rather than just "be yourself".

Several reasons..... Many have already been offered. But....women can seduce men too. The subreddit does not specify that it's only for men seducing women. And I think women should learn to talk more honestly and openly about how we approach men. Being on this subreddit has helped me as I rejoined the dating world after two long term relationships. I joined originally in order to lurk and do " enemy reconnaissance" so I could figure out the modern dating scene. I expected to be creeped out but g…

We are responsible for the effort and have no real control over the outcome.

Sometimes you can do everything right and still lose. An unfortunate truth.... And also a Star Trek Next Generation quote for those who would recognize that.

Oh I get it. You're seeing your money as one of your strengths, one of the things you bring to the table. I think that in this society, where people' s total worth as a person is often judged by their income or net worth, that attitude cam, come across as arrogant.

Most guys on your situation hire matchmakers, but that's mostly for seeking LTR/ marriage. You might want to look at what else you bring to the table besides money and use those to connect with women who will value you for yourself. At the end of the day, you probably don't want someone who doesn't connect with you on any level other than your money. That just sounds really empty, even if it's only for a casual connection.

One thing my late SO and I used to do was practice Kino escalation and flirting just like it was a new connection.Banter and push/ pull a bit. We did not call it that or realize what we were doing at the time. But it did re- ignite the spark! Especially if we had a date night and/or met each other out somewhere. When I stated lurking on this sub, I realized what we had been doing.

I am a woman and older than you, so I may have a different perspective than your target audience or the guys your age on this sub. If I am somewhere and I see a guy go up to 3-5 different women and strike up flirty conversations, it leaves an impression that he is just playing around and not really attracted to anyone. If he then comes up to me, I definitely feel that he is not really sincerely attracted to me, but just playing a game. I might play along a bit if I am bored but things will go no…

Thanks for your post! I recently took a risk and stepped out of my comfort zone . Unfortunately it appears to have gone sideways and I made some mistakes. But I have learned a great deal and am refining my approach. So thanks for the encouragement.

Oh I see. Well please try to get out of the desperation mind set. Meds will help but ultimately you have to believe that abundance exists. I have been in that place of desperation and hopelessness. I know it's incredibly difficult to get out of. You have obviously learned from your mistakes. That's better than many manage. You can and will use those lessons in the next opportunity. Best of Luck!

Well it appears you have two options. This is Reddit so people will be telling you to just walk away. And that's an option. It's difficult to recover once you've screwed up. But in reality we all screw up in little ways in all our relationships, and we repair it and move on if the relationships are healthy. It occurs to me that you might want to try just starting to do it right this time and see what she does with it. It looks like she likes you if she's gone this far with things. And try to get…

You have to build it before pulling back for the push/pull.

From my dentist....DONT brush after meals. There is more acid in your mouth from chewing food right after you eat and you will wear down your enamel faster. Brush morning and before bed. Floss after meals if food is wedged between teeth. DONT dye your eyebrows! You risk blindness if the dye gets in your eyes. ( Read the box warnings!) Use a brow pencil or one of the brow defining products if you feel you need that. Probably just getting them shaped will suffice.

Late to the game here but thanks for this!! It's really helpful to me as a woman even though I realize you wrote it for guys.

Yeah, this is more of a description of a manipulative person with mental health issues, I think. I've definitely found some guys like this too, although guys manifest it a little differently. And yeah.....run...... All people are insecure to some degree and the current dating world makes it worse imho. A little insecurity is to be expected, but looking for your date or potential date to fix that for you is a mistake. I think it alters the dynamics of the relationship in an unhealthy way. Dating …

I am sorry you feel that way about yourself. Usually when women pull back like that , it's due to escalating too quickly rather than the guys looks. So all I'm saying is consider that factor as well. A friend of mine is the biggest player I have ever known and has been for years. He is objectively ugly but can charm almost any woman. The only reason I don't date him is I know what he's doing and I am looking for something different.

Probably not your looks at issue here. Women are not as visually oriented as men. We are more turned on by how you make us feel when we are with you, than by your looks. As long as you practice basic hygiene and your wardrobe is close to appropriate to the situation, it's not your looks. At a guess, it's what you are saying and how you are saying it. Learn to make small talk and be interesting. What helped me was learning to have interesting conversations in non sexual situations and learning to…

As a woman, maybe I should not be the one to comment on this, but it sounds like you need to learn to escalate gradually and more naturally. Read up on Kino escalation. It starts with eye contact and gradually escalates to neutral touch and the more personal touch. Most women are socialised to expect the man to initiate each stage of escalation and will mirror or reciprocate the gesture if they are into you. Then you can go to the next step. If they pull away or don't reciprocate, go to a lower …
