Bumped into ex todayFuck her. I am 52 and been in similar spots with my ex and her SO I do not acknowledge her existence when I see her or them. No hello, no goodbye, only words required to have transactions when required, that is it. Guy tried to come over and shake my hand the first time it happened… He got frustrated when I said, “nope” and stared at him until he walked away. They can both eat a bag of dicks. She fucked up, he messed around with a married woman. They get not a single thing from me except stone c… | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/12/25 02:50 AM
Ashamed of my inability to get over what caused the divorce. I’ve become so cruel. I need to get this off my chest. I’m not a good person anymore.I agree with the sentiment, but these are percentages are not accurate. | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/11/25 06:07 PM
Ashamed of my inability to get over what caused the divorce. I’ve become so cruel. I need to get this off my chest. I’m not a good person anymore. From all of us w/o a mother who did that… buy her something nice. | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/11/25 06:05 PM
Wife cheated and has now moved out. Mediation scheduled soon. Is it ok to start talking or seeing somebody? You should see whoever you want | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/11/25 03:47 PM
Is $25k for Retirement Reasonable? If you were married for more then ten years she get the equivalent of 50% of your SS or hers whichever is higher (this does not impact your SS payments BTW). SS is an entitlement program so that does not make sense to me, on the $7K. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/08/25 04:48 PM
3 Friends, 3 divorces, 3 outcomes...NOT ME.This is a bunch of nonsense. Woman at this stage in their life no longer see themselves as responsible for raising other humans, and it can change everything. They want to move to a different stage of their life, and their partners often do not fit into that reality. Once you get there, there is no “undo” button, in my experience, and in the experience of every divorce attorney I’ve spoken to. These wives often took years to fall out of love without effectively communicating. And they now want t… | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/08/25 03:02 AM
Divorce w 7 kids.Tell her no. Fuck no. Tell her you are, “good with whatever a judge decides, but not what you decide.” Those words scare the shit out of SAHMs. And live by those words. A judge will be more fair than she or her attorney. | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/08/25 01:54 AM
It’s officially over. Here are my tips.I would not have gotten through it sober, and I am fine now. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/08/25 05:57 PM
When your STBXW bangs someone elseI would post on your Facebook page that you are dealing with a nasty bout of herpes. Also, depending on the state infidelity can affect the outcome of the divorce. So tell your attorney. Then I’d recommend drinking a lot and calling her at 2AM. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/08/25 02:34 PM
Wife wants out.. Game PlanTry to get the kids and spousal support. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/08/25 01:02 PM
My wife has gone insane. You can actually. It is called “The Baker Act”, she will get a 72 hour detainment and will be forced to talk to professionals. I doubt it would do any good though and I think having detained is unlikely . I would take a different path. I’d tell her you have to sell the house, she will need to get a job (all of that is true). Tell her you will pay XX per month in alimony (offer up 30% of your net income). Social Security will kick in for her in 15 years. I suspect that the prospect of going back … | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/08/25 11:36 AM
I'm lost. My wife doesn't love me anymore and wants separation and divorce. I am devastatedAfter 23 years…… My wife told me she wanted a platonic marriage. WTF is that? I packed my bag that night, stayed with my brother, called a realtor and bought a house site unseen, she had to sign off on that btw but was so shocked she did. My guess is your stbxw’s hormones are fucked up and/or she has convinced herself the next chapter will be better without you. It is going to be terrible for a while. But go see an attorney, yesterday is not soon enough, she already has in all likelihood. Hear w… | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/04/25 01:12 PM
Partner of 15 years and wife of 6 filed for divorce out of nowhere without even a discussion.I went through it a few years ago. You need access to your half of the sixty thousand. I would file for alimony even if you do not get it, and I’d make it a large amount. Say $7K per month, that will wake her up. I cannot tell if you have an attorney, if not get one. You will have your stuff back in a week. Subpoena her phone records so you can ascertain if she spent money on new dude (you are entitled to reimbursement, if you are still married, at least in my state). I’d have her deposed, if sh… | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/02/25 03:54 PM
Don’t want anyone.I do not understand people and their expectations. If you want that traditional family unit, or a blended family, or any of that stuff great, go make it happen. For me, I have no interest in that kind of life again. I had it, it was more about the idea than the reality. I like having my own place, my own bed, and spending time with my kids doing what WE want to do, not anyone else. In Europe when people get divorced in their 40/50s they often have long term relationships but do not cohabitate. T… | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/05/24 12:42 AM
I just called the police on my stbxGuarantee if you’d of thrown the punch, the police would have behaved differently. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/05/24 09:25 PM
Incredulous AFWoman fall out of love and there is no return for them. She was probably checked out before the coaching, I am sure you will hear she cheated before the divorce, I doubt it, maybe….. does it matter now? In my opinion the best thing you can do is to implement the “gray rock” method (google it, I did when someone told me about it) on her. Total indifference, transactional discussions only, and keep her at bay as much as possible. It starts as an act and turns into your reality. I’ll tell you the r… | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/02/24 03:28 AM
Claim of Alcohol Abuse in child custodyNot around the kids, and abstinence is not and never has been my goal. I’ve been totally honest with my doctor and he does not think that abstinence needs to be a goal for me. I’ve taken an ETG test several times (and would every Monday after Ive watched the kids if it wasn’t $125) so a judge can see I have not had alcohol during parenting time. I have never had issues not drinking when it is not an appropriate time to drink. Thus the good job, good standing in the community, no DUIs, and since … | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/03/21 01:31 PM
