Talking about an idea and actualizing are two different things. Anyone can talk about different concepts, the tricky part is implementing them in the real world. And... Fred is a bit of curmudgeon. Most of his essays are structured as polemics. I'm a fan of his stuff, but that essay is targeted to a very specific group and embedded in historic contexts.

It is the one of the single most important pieces of writing that I have read in the last several years. In fact I have forwarded it to several different co-workers in the last couple of weeks alone. There are several very critical ideas that are worth reading over and over again. 1) The definition of a loser: anyone who provides significant surplus value which they exchange for stability. And how the rational thing in such a situation is to either go sociopath, or to minimize the amount of work…

Thank you! Just downloaded. It is always fantastic to start reading a book, and think 'ohh shit this is spot on'; especially within the first chapter.

Yeah, I would love to read some material on Day Game. Been thinking about including it in my arsenal for awhile, but have been too lazy and a little intimidated to get off my ass and start day time approaches. Any information would be awesome.

I'll join in on this AMA thread. 30 Years Old, six figure job, 3 plates in rotation (24 / 26 / 35). 1 + 2. This is purely based on your lifestyle. I don't use online dating, nor really use that much approach game during the night. Basically I pursue a lot of activities that put me in contact with other people (rock climbing, yoga, dancing... that kind of stuff. Plus if your socially apt, you end up building 3 or 4 different social groups, which always have a heavy amount of new faces at get toge…

Yes, came to say the same thing. It's really hard to go from 0 to 60 right off the bat, much easier to start practicing good social foundations, eye contact, friendliness, openess. And practice on everyone, not just girls. Once you get more comfortable, start focusing on talking with attractive girls with non sexual intentions... From their it's a relatively easy to introduce flirting. Remember this isn't something that you can change overnight, it took me close to a year to be able to easily ta…

I think you may be approaching this a little wrong. I don't make it out with a girl in an attempt to sleep with them... I make out with them because I enjoy making out. For me making out is an end in itself. It's an opportunity enjoy their body, run your fingers down their back, squeeze their inner thigh, enjoy their physical prescence. Approach it in his manner and I'll think you will be surprised how you don't need to escalate... Then end up doing it themselves.

I agree. You straight up get the fuck out of the country. Move somewhere, and then write and call your kids regularly. Still try to be in their life from afar, but don't be stuck in the bullshit situation.

Yes! These are the kinda posts that keep me coming back to TRP. Hypergamy is actually a wonderful thing, the more I improve myself, the higher my SMV gets, the hotter the girls that I can choose from. This same structure doesn't apply to women, no amount of knowledge, career advance or new skill sets is gonna make a mediocre girl attractive.

Honestly i'm not trying to pick a fight. I used to play a ton of LOL.... like a ton, easily clocked in over 2 thousands hours. Until I realized that it was constraining on my ability to have new amazing experiences. LOL is specifically designed to get you hooked, to get you addicted, it provides entertainment but in a shallow way that comes with no actual personal growth. You should totally do what makes you happy. But as a person who ended pushing to trying and learning new things (getting a mo…

Thanks for the articulate response. I'll cool off on the tone ;) In my humble opinion, the only way for real self-acceptance to take place is through actual self-improvement. What we are ultimately talking about here is self-valuation. Basically how awesome/great/wonderful do you think you are. How much do you love yourself. For me there are two ways to achieve this, the first is reality weaving, where you re-structure your perception to love yourself more, the second is to identify your weaknes…

I think I just threw up in my mouth. What the fuck did I read... Here's the truth. You are not good enough. Honestly you are not. Otherwise you wouldn't be reading through this sub-reddit. And neither am I. But you can be and so can I. You all missing the point of this mans essay. It ain't about women, or fuckability, or any of that high school shit; it's about passively accepting other people interpretation of reality. All through our lives people measure our worth through incremental compliance tests. Not just women, but your boss, your friends, your family, they all want you to surrender your frame and identity and give in to their demands. For men, these acts of surrender are a slow silent death. Your inherent self valuati…

OK, struggled with this a little in the beginning. First it is completely OK to interrupt people, I do it all the time, in a city where people are generally very stuck up . Walk up to a group of people on their open side (slight gap in where their standing) with a slight smile Make eye contact with a couple of people Smile Say : "You all look interesting, I have decided to join your group" or something of this nature. You basically need to give the group of a compliment and then announce your in…

Yeah... gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you on your dichotomy. But then again I'm involved in PUA so I might be biased ;) PUA is focused on the implementation of core TRP philosophy. If you look at the consistent advice on threads, forums, and blogs, it's fundamentally TRP. Being outcome independent, abundance mentality, demonstrating value, etc... I think it's a question about what you ultimately want. Fucking random pretty girls has very little long term value for me. It doesn't really make my life better, or make me happier about myself. Developing inner game, confidence, social grace, integrity and personal discipline is what I'm ultimately looking for. Approaching and dating is a really good way for me to measure and test my progress.

Instead talking about the action itself, talk about how it effects you on a deeper level. Like for me, after lifting weights, or going for a run I feel a deep sense of calm. As if I have found balance in the world. I like to talk about that emotion. Or talk about how the strength to push through has transferred to other parts of your life, how it carry's over. Thanks! This is some really solid advice. The big problem with random approaching is that you don't build up rapport, and they are afraid you're a crazy. But talking on the phone gives you an opportunity to show your charm and reduce the chances of radio silence later on.

All right, but let me just seed the conversation with some caveats. First my preference is generally in light domination and control, I generally steer away from humiliation or pain. Second, I have generally I have found that the majority of women find this really arousing, especially if stems from my attraction to them. If I was to guess, the animalistic behavior attracts them because they sense it coming from unfiltered desire. Initial kissing: I start the tests pretty early on, usually within…

Depends on what you're into. Personally I'm into a light form of domination, so there are different physical tests that I perform during sexual escalation, I escalate based on their reaction. Happy to share some of my personal tests if this is the type of kink you're asking about.

Dude, congrats on forcing yourself to take risk! Only good things are coming on the horizon. The first 5 approaches are the most difficult, then the next 5,and the 5 after that, it gets easier and easier as you do it. At this point I wouldn't even worry about the end-result. Just keep at it and you will slowly turn into that confident charming bastard that you want to be!

You need to address with your crush, but in a very flippant way. The idea is to be a honest about your annoyance and your feelings of betrayal, but at the same time express that the first girls opinion doesn't mean anything. In a sense your more disappointed about what this implies about your friend and people in general, highlighting why you think she is doing it (jealousy) and how much it makes come off as a loser. Thanks for the reply. I was thinking about the same issue, if I approach 100 girls, only 25% are going to available (boyfriend, logistics, etc..) throw in sexual orientation and you make that percentage significantly smaller, especially for random day time approaches. Outcome independence would be critical for not getting discouraged. Not sure where you live, but it's a little easier to meet people in SF Bay Area, in Oakland especially the queer women scene is pretty popping.

A few suggestion and overarching framing: Emotional Connection comes from empathy, the idea that you truly understand the underlying motivations and emotional state of the person that you're talking to, and more importantly that they understand your motivations and emotions. Ask Why questions, this means trying to really understand who the person actually is. For instance let's say someone told you they recently moved to the City, i would fire off some questions about how they feel leaving their…
