I did exactly that after my divorce. Every date felt like a job interview. Decided to stop letting myself be interrogated by oeoole who would be consider themselves losers if they didnt have a pair of tits. My life is so much easier now that i dont waste my time and money on those clowns.

I used to think you fall in love and live happily ever after. The reality is you have to entertain and pusue her endlessly which is exhausting on top of the effort it takes to provide. Meanwhile these women actually loved me naturally until i put i ring on it.

It plays in court. If she can paint you as abusive it just about guarantees that she will get custody.

Dude this is exactly why i refuse to remarry. I shouldnt have to spend the rest of my life convincing my own wife to stay in love with me. To throw long historied relationships away so casually will never make sense to me. It makes investing in future relationships seem like a waste of time.

True love is dead. If you dont keep her chasing you, she will chase some other guy. Modern women get bored and wander off if you arent constantly keeping their attention.

Thank you, i will look into it. My employer directly told us that we couldnt use it for ourselves, which shouldve made me skeptical right away.

I got suckered like this halfway through my first family court. She just took me guard down, used it against me in court, and i got stomped. Now I ice them out immediately and am very succesful in court. She made up her mind, she doesnt want you, just the money and the kids.

Paying for daycare on top of everything else was the real crusher for me. They factor in daycare after they decide maximim payments. And there is no max on daycare. She was even charging me for daycare on her weekends. It was around $500 a week on top of all other costs. I wouldve been homeless if it wasnt for friends and family.

Fmla can be used for ourselves? I thought we could only use it for family needs.

Have to work all day, give presents, then drive 5+ hours to drop my daughter off at her mother's. I'd prefer a day alone honestly.

Hopefully you aren't in NY. I disproved 3 out of five allegations and it didn't matter because I was arrested for Marijuana as a teenager therefore the court took her word on the two allegations I couldn't disprove. Years later I managed to get custody after CPS charged her with negligence. Costed 50k just for the last case alone. First few cases cost about 30k total. It only took 10 years, $80,000, and the child being harmed to finally get justice in NY family court.

Filing first gives you the ability to establish custody before she can move the kids.

It's the same in NYS. Good answer.

In NY state she is only entitled collect from the day she filed. Make sure you pay in checks so that you have evidence of payment.

I don't trauma dump. But I do find myself trying to answer questions, because they keep asking them, and I'm genuinely struggling for the answers. It makes me feel resentful that I'm being judged and takes me out of just feeling fun and happy. I usually just want to drop them off back home asap.

The hardest thing for me, was that every first date after the divorce involved me explaining why I was divorced. It felt like every first date was a job interview.

And it's not fair to the other people to keep trying to force an attraction that isn't there. It's not fair to their time or emotions. I'm thinking that I shouldn't be trying to rewire my own natural feelings. Even though it keeps ending disastrously, I'm just going to let it happen naturally again from now on.

I've tried taking attraction out of the equation, and it just doesn't work for me. I can't get into someone that I don't find attractive, which means I am basically mistreating the person that I am trying to be attracted to. The experiment is over for me. It just doesn't work. I NEED attraction.

I checked out years ago. I've even been approached by women a couple times and I just play stupid until they go away. My life is too complicated by my old relationships to be investing my time, energy, and money into the next disappointment.

I'm definitely too gay to buy a stranger a drink just because she talked to me for 5 minutes and she is pretty. If I wanted to fuck, I'd wait till she was drunk, give her a few lines of coke, and tell her there is more at my afterparty. Bitch thinks I'm a rookie asking me to buy her drinks for a conversation. I'll buy her a bag of coke if she wants to fuck, but that's a conversation for after the suckers get her drunk.

I am definitely that guy, socially clueless and wouldn't even recognize her anger. I'd just be happy with my free drink.

I've had women ask me to buy them a drink, then cause a scene when I decline. They are not embarrassed, they really feel entitled to the money of complete strangers, it's bizarre.

I'm sorry. I wish there was a quick way to deal with the trauma. I know taking pride in being better than them is what helped me. A similar childhood taught me not to seek validation from others, but only to find happiness in my own view of myself. Probably not the best advice but it worked for me. Live for yourself, be proud of your own struggles and accomplishments, what everyone else thinks is irrelevant.

Emotional and mental abuse, which I would argue is more damaging and more underreported.

Yes, the signature is what matters. Also NY.

Yes, document everything. I use text more often than email, but the courts accept both as evidence from my experience. Just as long as it can be verified. Once you show proof, she will usually back off her claims anyway.

How do you think we got modern american family court? It was only 6 years ago "equal pay" was a viable political issue. One is not completely disconnected from the other.

As a high value RP catholic man who literally just stumbled across this sub randomly 5 minutes ago. You are good. Just thank God you didn't have kids with him because that's the threshold a lot of guys like me won't cross. Just own it, be confident, and be youreself. I wouldn't be dissuaded at all if we were a match. That being said, I know I don't belong here, so I'm out. Good luck.

I'm poor from divorce. Crazy how you can work so hard just to be treated like a POS. Fuck em, I didnt like them anyway.

Agreed. Just because you choose to protect youreself, doesn't mean you feel any specific way about people or society. Pumping and dumping doesn't leave me feeling misanthropic at all.

I have friends that are getting into their 40's now and still don't want kids. Their lives are much easier than mine. Just make sure you are %100 sure you know what you want. You are still a bit young to be so certain. Also, certain vasectomies have a high chance of being reversible. There are three different procedures that I know of.

Not being attracted to someone does not equate to treating that person like shit. You are allowed to not be attracted to people.

She is a mother, who felt the need to party for 72 hours straight. And during that time, she thought the best place to leave her child was in a car seat in an attic. She is absolutely out of her fucking gord.
