I am kind of new here myself, (this is not my normal account, this is my new one). I think it would be a good idea to force all new people to post in /r/asktrp for a little bit before they are allowed to post in this subreddit. I see this subreddit as more of the newspaper of TRP, and asktrp as the, well what it's name is. This would keep people that are confused/angry (for the most part) out of TRP (e.g. posting things that are not useful) and in /r/asktrp where they belong.

He is a house-mate. I hadn't met him before he moved in. He is pretty good at hiding who he really is under a pseudo-fake persona. He alters who he is based on who is around him, and what he thinks will make him look good. So this all went unnoticed until I began reading up on the Red Pill and learning about myself and others. At this point we had known each other for a little while. Like I said, he is real about half the time. (I don't think he knows that people can see his bull shit)

Yeah, I am starting to see that now. I made some comment about something he had (something he may define himself with, at least for that day), and he instantly tried to attack me on a personal level. Like he had stockpiled things he thought would hurt me. I see who he really is now.

Yeah, not going to. I am forced into friendship due to situational settings, but, like I said, about 50% of the time he is "real." Sometimes I get sick of his people pleasing, blue pill attitude. He does help me see how not to be. It is a good psychological tool. I was reading a book that told me to do more of an action (pleasing people, being generous) to see how it does not actually make me better off. So he is the embodiment of everything that I do not want to be. A complete lost cause anyway…

haha. That sounds about right! That reminds me of the episode of Weeds where the brother in law takes a (rather large) strap on up the ass just to have sex with the Israeli lady.

He is in a long distance relationship (many many miles away) so no. I know that he has some girl friends that like hanging out with him, but they are all in relationships. I can't go by what he says, because he tends to play things up or change the details of everything to make himself seem better off.

I'm still working on myself (recovering beta/nice-guy). As I began to read and learn, I started noticing what bothered me about him so much. He is a good friend, but mostly when it is just the two of us, as I imagine it is with most of his friends. I'm not going to try and help him, or anyone else, until I can get my shit straight.

The only thing is he is loud and will always speak "his" mind. (I put his is quotes because about 50% of the time he is being fake and only says things that he thinks others want him to say, or what will make hims seem cooler. He sometimes rambles in nonsense terms that sound smart or philosophical, but aren't.) He always wants to be the leader in the situation, but he is always looking to others for approval in his choices and words. He does most of this for men too, but it is just much worse w…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
