Yeah so you are basically saying that both risk having a kid in the first place, if both choose to still have sex then by that logic the woman shouldn't even be able to abort the child because iT wAs HeR cHoIcE tO hAvE sEx.

No the problem isn't actually about the abortion alone but about the child support after. Let's say a couple had protected sex for 2 years abd never planned to have children anyway, but somehow the protection fails. By your logic the father has NO CHOICE whatsoever about the child or his money.
