If you have children, do you wish your Ex a “Happy Mother’s Day “ ?You can measure your healing however you want, but I highly recommend you don’t measure it by how others measure their progress. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/05/26 07:58 PM
If you have children, do you wish your Ex a “Happy Mother’s Day “ ?You don’t have to do things the same as anyone else. It doesn’t have to be about being mean or getting back. I had some pictures of her and the kids from church last week that I needed to send so I sent those with a quick Happy Mother’s Day message. I’ve moved on and am excited about my future. It feels great to be kind because I choose to be, with no expectations of reciprocation. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/05/26 07:56 PM
Trying to understand what this meansShe sounds like she’s confused about what she wants. Low/no contact sounds like the right way to go, I just don’t know if you should hold onto too much hope. You deserve a relationship that serves you as well. Stay strong man, good luck. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/05/26 10:06 AM
Need an honest male perspective. Does he still have feelings?I think it’s totally understandable for you to be concerned about that. I also think that’s a good topic of conversation for you to bring up in a sincere, nonjudgmental way. “I love you and I want you to be happy. When I saw that message, it made me scared that I’ll never be able to make you happy.” Then just see what he says. It’s probably also a good idea to acknowledge that you understand why he might still feel grief for the life that he left behind after 15 years. It sounds like he’s still … | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/08/25 10:43 PM
Need an honest male perspective. Does he still have feelings? The “or was” sounds to me like he recognizes he’s not the same person anymore and is trying to figure out who he is going forward. This reads like he’s mourning the loss of identity and assurance, not that he wants to get back to that. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/08/25 06:38 PM
Loaned my wife $20k. Now she’s divorcing me and lawyered up, with my money. The giveaway was when he said he’s a victim of financial abuse because his wife asked him for money… that’s exactly the opposite of financial abuse. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/06/25 12:25 AM
Loaned my wife $20k. Now she’s divorcing me and lawyered up, with my money.Anyone who thinks it’s appropriate to ask their wife to pay them back on an amount they loaned her deserves to get left. Literally asking for it. That’s not how you treat a woman you want to keep around. | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/06/25 05:36 AM
Loaned my wife $20k. Now she’s divorcing me and lawyered up, with my money. As a man who’s still going through his own divorce… how the hell does a man loan his wife money? Did you not share finances? Gotta be honest, you sound toxic as hell. Asking for the watch back? Yes. That’s petty. If you couldn’t afford to pay for that watch and have enough to cover future expenses you shouldn’t be buying it. I’m still confused what the loan even has to do with anything except that you’re mad cause you’re the kinda dude who expected his wife to pay him back on a loan. | 2 | Anyone have success becoming the obligee even though you make more money?I still wouldn’t go to her directly about the date, I think it would be better to check with the court if she was successfully served notice of the court date. You want there to be a record with the courts that she was officially notified, that way if she doesn’t show she can’t claim she didn’t know because the courts already have proof she was notified. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/05/25 07:22 PM
Anyone have success becoming the obligee even though you make more money?Do you not have her new address? I’d suggest verifying with the court what address the notice was sent to. I’d be worried about the court date getting pushed back if she didn’t get it and you knew about the address change but didn’t tell the court where to send notice. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/05/25 08:55 AM
What are the ramifications of paying my ex in Visa gift cards? Not to mention a documented date that she received the money. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/04/25 09:41 PM
Transparency about dating during divorceSo far I’ve only made one post on a Facebook singles page about a week ago, and made sure to mention I was still in the process of divorcing my stbx. Even with that I got some interaction and I’ve been chatting with someone since then. I say give them the info and let them decide if they want to get involved or not. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/02/25 01:13 PM
You'd think Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Ye, and other billionaires would make reforming the feminist divorce court system a top political priority....Closer to that than being a billionaire for sure. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/02/25 08:51 PM
Divorce is progressively getting worse! Can you not file an injunction to force her to stay where she is until the current proceedings are finalized? Seems to be six months is what’s required to establish residency but I don’t know if the new state would take the case over after it was started somewhere else. Would probably look quite bad on her to be taking the child without your agreement while the process is still ongoing. Edit: If she tries to file a new case in a different state while you’re deployed you have certain rights under… | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/01/25 10:35 AM
