It also reflects society's pedestaling of women: these shows "feature" men who have accomplished things by passion and the sweat of their brow. Women, meh, go on a crazy number of dates, suck a crazy number of dicks, and voila! You're a local celeb! Another example of media reinforcing the wrong set of values. Imagine all the teenage girls who take this as a good option: if you're gonna end up like this after 6 years of "serial monogamy" (a slowed down carousel?), why not get started now?

Done it. Massive crush on a girl, who was already seeing a guy. Put her on a pedestal, and myself in the zone. Unwittingly in the RP zone, was spinning plates and occasionally a 2-3 mo monogamous sting. Can vouch for ALL the above points: Frame is absolutely necessary. Even as a friend, you can't be a pushover. In other words, no orbiting at all. Offer to split tasks, but always in exchange for something dear, like a "date" (she pays of course). Outcome independence is important, but for the end…

You're right. That's what we call the Blue Pill male around here.

TRP is changing the world for the better. The only sad part is that it was made necessary in the first place (instead of letting men be men, and women women. Naturally.)

Does this inexorably prove AWALT?

Like all intellectual fads, it's demise is inevitable. What may survive are relics and nostalgics, and of course parodies. What I said above applies more so to the persistent moderates than to the temporary radicals. In hindsight they'll be just as ridiculous as McCarthyites and Communists.

Feminism wants to impose it's own standards on the world. If that's not bad enough, every feminist has her own standard they want to see imposed, so there will never be an end to this "struggle", until the "struggle" itself is ended.

Wrong question. Instead, ask, "how did you find your passion?"

Great observations. Add the absentee father (busy with providing for the family's lifestyle) and hence the BP upbringing, and the huge amounts of white knighting in peer groups and media.

It's starting to look like you're here with an agenda, not for discussion. Anyway, the sources you have used come not from pragmatism (like Hobbes, who you reject snarkily), but from modern academia of humanities which itself is tainted with all that TRP rejects. Furthermore, the few examples of societies that you cite are themselves isolated and unique constructs. They were invented, and differ not only in the prevalent philosophies and religions of the day from today's society, but even more s…

All your observations are correct. At the same time, recognize the intellectual level of the Husband as he is much much smarter than either of the other two. The Lover, on the other hand, is a perceived Triad (Indian politician = obvious Machiavellian (Indian politics is the worst of the lot) + anti Social (check out any of his speeches) + narcissism (he was the Governor of the largest Indian state)); perceived since his reign is waning. Edit: the woman is just straight off hypergamous. She clim…
