I am currently with a LVM (I know, I know...). I wanted to warn you that a man can seem like a good father from the outside but actually be a terrible parent. When I first met him he played the part of the poor single dad abandoned by his ex (she did abandon her kids... Possibly to run from his abuse). I swooned like an idiot at the thought that he was doing it all on his own. It turns out he doesn't pay attention to his kids, they're plugged into roblox all day. He yells at them constantly for …

I love this because it's a clear message to her ex, who by the way has never had to pay for what he did.

Nah. This was over 10 years ago. Also I was way too naive and messed up from my upbringing to realize I'd been done wrong. I guess that's how a lot of us end up in these shitty relationships

My first live in boyfriend quit his job randomly cause he "didn't get along with his boss." I had about 2000$ in savings and we had to survive off my barista wages while he sat at home chain smoking and playing video games. One day he shows up at my work with a huge grin on his face and says, "look what I got". A fucking computer. That he bought with MY savings. We had to eat rice and pasta for a while. The kicker? It was always referred to as his computer, I was not allowed to touch it and it w…

I've been in two long term relationships with men like this. It's fricken exhausting. When I was younger I used to get excited lol. I thought it was really gonna happen.

Hmm good point. I just don't like how he seems to control her. Recently I saw a clip where he didn't like her dressing "too sexy" and was trying to dictate what she could wear.

The obsession with virginity is so backwards and weird. I can't get past it.

About being sexualized?

That's gross. And I guess she was expected to be like, "Teehee, no thank you." That's why I think the head shaving was badass. It was a huge fuck you to the world, like "you don't own me."

My feelings about britney have provided me so much insight about a) the way the media can influence how we think, especially as teens. I totally jumped on the "lol, Britney is crazy white trash" bandwagon when I was younger. And b) the way the sexualisation of young girls is normalized. Britney came out when I was around 9-10. To me she looked grown up. I obviously never questioned why a teenager of 16 was dancing in a sexually suggestive way on TV (go back and watch 'Baby one More Time' the who…

Is this true though? Wouldn't a threat get you in trouble with the law? Not that he wouldn't have deserved it...

Can confirm. Had a best guy friend. It took me years and several times of rejecting his advances for me to realize he never liked me as a person, he was just a desperate loser hoping to get in my pants. He ended up getting a high paying job and because of his money somehow thought it was okay to start texting me sexually explicit things like "I wanna bend you over." I ended the 'friendship' right after.

I made the decision never to live with a man again. I have a boyfriend but we will NEVER live together, let alone share a bank account.

If she doesn't seem into it after a bit, even mid sex, do not keep having sex with her. Be very mindful of signals. A lot of women won't say no outright because they feel guilty (you paid for dinner etc). Also, why would someone take time out of their day to ruin a stranger's life it they weren't actually raped? It would entail a) going to the police station, filling out a statement. Then b) going to the hospital, being stripped down, swabbed. Who the fuck has time for that? No disrespect whatso…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
