I can see myself in your shoes, if War came to my country I'd only be concerned with making sure my family is safe. I don't believe in fighting for any country. What happens if you refuse to fight? Do they throw you in prison?

I figured. Can you paraphrase that saying? I'd like to know what you meant.

Is this a proverb? Sounds like you put it into Google translate and copy pasted the result here, because it doesn't make sense.

Of course. I'd definitely fight for myself. I'm nothing if not selfish.

Lol. Imagine fighting for an uncaring and sometimes openly hostile society. Clown shit.

If you view living as constant battle. Sure. Vulnerability bad. But showing vulnerability in your relationships can make the bond stronger. Contingent on the person not being shitty. You'd know this, if you were ever vulnerable with the right people.

You're letting other people's opinions of you, force you into self destructive behaviour.

If it were me I'd defect just to spite them. But I don't think the Russians would be accommodating

You're misconstruing your experiences with what is actually written in the Quran and hadith It doesn't matter what your legal systems are enforcing, they're incongruent with Islam. Alimony for instance, is completely haram. There's no Islamic basis for it. Likewise for asking your wife for permission to take another wife. It does not matter, at all, what the reality is. Because the reality is not congruent with the real Islamic marriage system and I'd even go as far to say that calling it sharia…

Staying true to the source material. You can find more with a quick Google search. Alimony isn't a thing in Islamic law. A wife is entitled to spousal maintenance (iddah) during a marriage and after a divorce (up to 3 months if no reconciliation occurs, though I understand some countries take it up to 2 years). But further than that you're not obligated to pay her anything. What it sounds like is that your government is enforcing a bastardised version of Islamic marriage laws to align it with se…

I don't know who's been telling you about Islamic law but the husband doesn't need the wife's permission to take another wife. For...diplomatic reasons it's encouraged to get the wife's approval. Also the wife doesn't take any of your belongings if it comes to a divorce and in any case she has to get you to agree to the divorce if she's initiating it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
