Go say hi to everyone first, not just girls you're interested in, then start only saying hi to all girls. Then go back to girls you're interested in. that helped me quite a bit.

Do they have a reason to come over? One of the best things I did for myself was turn my apartment into the place to be. I put in a fully stocked bar, bought a hookah, have a huge tv with nice surround sound, lots of seating available, board game and puzzle closet etc. essentially any activity anyone would want to do indoors can be enjoyed at my pad, so I can invite girls over and I have tons of options depending on their personality. I feel like even direct would be okay in this case. It's hard to talk on a dance floor in a noisy club. Dance over, lean into her, and just a very quick "Hey babe, you here with this guy?" The only time I went clubbing was when I was in a LTR, but just a few things I noticed: If you get boxed out, pleeeasse don't be that guy (or in most cases group of guys) who stands outside the group of girls dancing around them. I've been here, I spoke with the other guy and was honest with my intentions to him, and he with his. He actually backed down after our discussion and gave me the green light. After it was clear we were not going to work out, he stepped in as I backed off. Worked out quite well. Just talk to him and figure out where he stands and how bad he wants it. This girl might just be a back up option for him. Or the girl might even make the decision sooner for you :)

Don't even worry about it, just show your motivated and not living at home because you're a lazy ass and any girl with your time will understand. First off, ITT: Lots and lots of not so bright people. I tend to make it up given the situation. Girl i'm hanging with named sarah, turned her into sarah bear after I heard her growling a few rooms away at a party. I'm with ya man. I'll walk up to anyone, introduce myself, start the small talk and then fall flat on my face. I don't know if it's considered AA but I hate cold approaching because I never have a clue what to talk about. The advice Ive read says to let the girl talk while you steer the convo but I feel like I always end up staring at my beer with neither of us talking.

I like to party with strangers at concerts. If you've been to a metal show you know how hard it is to communicate. Heres the trick: Get an app that will let you type out in a horizontal orientation. Bust out your msg and hold it up to her, don't give it to her. Obviously the font is too small so she'll take it to read it. At that point she'll usually type out a reply. I think its because subconsciously she knows no dialer app is going to be laid out horizontally, that's just not how they operate…

It's kind of run of the mill stuff, but it's still interesting for someone like me to hear it in the context this article put it. I've always been awestruck by downright assholes that can walk into a bar alone and walk out with 10 women. Pretty much be confident, approach, play the numbers game. I liked the "after you open as a "jerk", show that your a great guy" vibe. That my friends, is the ticket.

I've always interpreted it as being prepared for approach, not always approaching. You never know when you might run into that girl you're itching to talk to, but you just rolled out of bed and stumbled into walmart for milk. Unshaved, in sweatpants, etc. You can still approach of course, but I know I don't feel very confident because I start making assumptions on how she will react based on how I would react in that situation.

Man this is so true. I've sat there with my friends and went "You see that hot number right there? Her friend is dancing with that guy, yeah that one. Thats prime real estate." Then I get a stupid look. "Right now she is itching for someone to dance with her so that she's not alone with her friend." Just then a guy moves in, those two start making out on the floor in 2 songs. My crew just looks at me in shock and awe. It's not hard to see it, it's a lot harder to play it.
