This sub needs to start understanding that females are almost like a separate species and thus stop viewing divorce from the male perspective. There’s an evolutionary theory that I believe in: Men evolved to become attached to their mate back to our hunter-gathering days because we needed a reason to come back from the hunt and care for our mate and offspring. This attachment is what kept us from leaving to go get as many females as we could pregnant like a wild dog. Women, specifically humans, …

My only response to this is to do exactly as your lawyer says. Do not give into any demands. Do not give any concessions unless your lawyer advises it. Only let her have the minimum that the court orders. Take it all the way to trial if you have to. She is the adversary now and you must treat her as such. I know it’s hard, but please forget about the past and focus on securing a financial future for yourself. You will thank me in three or four years

NO don’t think like that! This is 2024 not 1984! Most courts are very father friendly now & default to 50-50 custody, unless there’s something egregious like drug use or DV. Please please get a good lawyer like yesterday and do what they say

yes, I have 50-50 so that’s no problem. I wouldn’t have another "kids" birthday party tho. probably just something small area of restaurant with my family

I'm so happy I got 50-50 split or else it would be hard to do something separate due to the assigned days

I mean I would only do that if I was super serious with somebody. I would never bring a date casually just out of spite to prove a point. I’m not like that

my attorney said she can live with whoever she wants, and I can’t do anything about it unless that person has a criminal record, or I can prove there is abuse in the household, like drugs or physical.

good point, but it won’t be a separate kids party like that. I would just take her to her favorite restaurant with some of my family and give her her presents then

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
