She doesn't need to know that. She just has to think you do.

I used to think that way too, man. I dated girls who I wouldn't normally date a few months after to try new things. Just go out and meet people. Literally, spend hours of your time alone. Become comfortable being alone and you will never let another person define you again. It's hard in the beginning. It's very awkward. Go out, have a beer or two by yourself and just talk to people. Don't know what to say? Compliment them. It'll become so much easier once you can get your confidence back up and …

Sounds very easy, basic and what a lot of people here need.

I love this. Perfect execution. You weren't a douche. You were just you acting like a normal human being. This is how seduction should be played. I congratulate you man, great work. Don't forget to keep it up though, keep her interested!

Wow, that hits home for me. I am too lazy/too afraid to be alone/don't want to see her with anyone else to rip my band aid off. This is really blowing my mind, I didn't think anyone else had situations like this.

Putting someone on a pedestal is making them out to be better than you when, in reality, they are just like you. If you praise them like a someone who has power over you, they have no choice but to look down on you.

This girl I'm interested in and got her number a week ago texted me the other day asking why she keeps going back to her ex. I gave her some legitimate reasons then figured out it may have been a shit test. I told her to come out to the bar for a drink with me and forget about the ex’s but she didn't seem very interested. I told her I'd text her the next afternoon but I was busy and forgot. I figured I'd see her out but she was at a different bar with her friend. I told her my plan for the night…

Reach your hand out to her from a 45 degree angle approach. Never come up from behind or directly in front. Edit: Smile casually.

My buddy and I are going for drinks with them tonight, probably not the best time to ask, right?

I hate to say it but I know I am. I don't currently have anything else going on and this girl is pursuing me, it seems like, also. I'm not attached or expecting anything but I feel hopeful about it. I live in a town where the selection isn't very wide and I can't leave due to school.

Wow. Blown away by this answer. I'll do exactly that. Thanks!

Sounds like you got shut out though. I would just leave it. If she talks to you, go with it set it up again. At this point she already knows you're interested.

Jumped to the invite to hang out too quick. Sounds like just an acknowledgement that you caught her looking would have sufficed. On the other hand, some girls don't even realize that they stare. That's just how they are. Misinterpretation of her actions sounds like a probable cause for being turned down.

Too much thought into this. Shoulda just acted normally, not like a PUA. I'm sure you would have done 100x better.

Do compliments work? Like "Hey, you're cute, what's your name?" Or "Hey gorgeous. Mind if I call you that?"

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
