Yeah, at least at my gym the majority of the cardio machines are in the common area. So at least no one is barred from access to anything they may need to use. The women only section is probably 1/8th the size of the rest of the gym.

The gym I go to has a women only section 24/7 I'm not sure what's in there, probably a few cardio machines or something but it's not very large compared to the rest of the gym. While it's "not fair" that there's no men only space like it, it doesn't actually prevent me or other men from access to any equipment we may need to use.

From what I understand from other comments in this thread, the point of the show was to take verbal abuse from a woman, but she is not to physically abuse you at all. His retaliatory slap seemed to be completely reactionary, but him saying "How can she slap?" makes sense if she wasn't supposed to touch him at all. He probably signed up for the show knowing that he wasn't supposed to be touched, it also shows he was clearly not supposed to be touched since he sued the show and won.

Well if it's any consolation, someone on my FB feed posted this story and how awful it was. She is generally very liberal but definitely not a rad-fem. It was nice to see her supporting the idea that it is a really bad idea to force a man to pay for children who aren't his.

Agreed. It's actually really insulting to the women who choose these professions, basically saying that they are unable to be adults and choose what they'd like to do. It's not like men are kidnapping women and making them work in Hooters as sex slaves.

It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't throw in the little quips at the end of each one. Surprisingly this was actually written by a man, I googled Pat Sandora and he's a man. But it is Cosmo, so the audience is definitely women. I recall seeing one not that long about the reasons women cheat and it was set in a much different light. It played them as being justified in their decision to cheat and a few of the reasons straight out blamed their men for it.

Interesting and all but why is this here? Is it an attempt to demonize women? While us men are demonized by feminism all the time is it really in our best interest to look more like a hate group than we're already perceived as by feminists?

Agreed. Reading stories like this just makes me so happy my parents stayed together and raised me in a stable environment. I can't imagine what it would be like to live in such a situation at that young age.

A similar thing happened to me twice but far less violent and pretty much no lasting repercussions.
