I know I might get downvoted, but honestly I understand the hotel staff. There’s a difference between discrimination and sensible precaution. Maybe they should have handled the situation more professionally, but I can see how it would at least merit some suspicion. I know I get weird looks from women when I’m alone in public as a 28 year old man, but to be fair, men my age are disproportionately more likely to assault, mug, rape, etc., so I don’t entirely blame people for being on guard nowadays…

I’m sure there’s more context, but this is actually terrible if we take this story at face value. I don’t care what the cunt said, you don’t want to start fining and imprisoning people for insulting or offending others. Like the 12 year old who got arrested in the UK yesterday for a racist slur on twitter. Yeah yeah, that’s awful that he said that, but what these people never stop to think about is, once you open that can of worms and imprison people for speech, eventually other people will be i…

I’d be willing to bet she also thinks half the shit she buys should be a human right and wants the taxpayer to pay for it

Feminism and all equality /social movements are not even relevant to the political compass (unless they’re focused on authoritarian or libertarian ideals). Social movements are on the progressive/conservative scale, not the economical left/right

When they say that I think it’s a euphemism for taking her shirt off. At least lifting it up. Definitely sounds like her boss made a comment about whatever unprofessional tshirt she was wearing and she was all like “oh well I’ll take it off then” like the entitled skank she is

She had the gall to blame my friend for introducing her to the high school kids and for reading her diary and for of course, not paying enough attention to her (when he was working full time as a manager of a restaurant, working as a youth pastor, and still attending school part time). Then she stole his cat and left the state. He made out good in the divorce though and honestly I think he was relieved because it was a terrible marriage and it gave him an out. He’s doing well now. This was four …

My best friend married a woman like her. She would have gotten away with some terrible stuff if she hadn’t been stupid and left evidence. My friend was a youth pastor, and the wife got caught sleeping with one of the high school students. She claimed rape, but luckily there were text messages and her diary (!) that proved otherwise.

My local small town airport has the best TSA staff. They’re all really chill and friendly. I will often pay extra to fly from there with a connecting flight instead of driving an hour to the terrible big airport nearby. It makes a huge difference in the whole trip

Honestly she could have just done this bit by bit and probably got away with it.

I never implied that. I’m saying she can’t make the reasonable claim that she was moving something out of her way or that she didn’t know it belonged to anyone. At the point of this video, the officer has a lot of discretion in whether or not to make an arrest. However, the fact that she takes the item directly from the guy’s hands (and admits to doing so) makes it absolutely clear that this was theft. No gray area. That’s what he was saying, I think, and what I was trying to clarify

He was trying to say “it was clearly in his possession, not a sign just laying on the ground like litter.” There’s a difference in moving something and taking it from their hands

Yeah he misspoke but I think he was trying to say, “clearly it was this guy’s possession. He was carrying it; it wasn’t laying on the ground like litter.” It’s a clear case of taking an item directly from someone’s hands
