The government has come close to reinstating the draft, on a limited basis, twice in the last 20 years, that I know of. 2008 and 2018, because we fell so far short of our recruitment goals.

This may be a friendship killer. I’ve had people I was friends with for years, then we disagreed on a large issue and it really ended the friendship.

It’s different for medical. You can complete your undergrad, and get accepted to med school. Then apply to have one of the branches pay for med school. Then you just have to do your residency at a military hospital. You should have all of your med school paid for and be paid at an E6 rate while you’re in school.

If you want to do a quick 3 year hitch and get out, those would be your best bet.

I spent 18 years in the Army. Don’t waste your time. It’s changed so much, it’s not recognizable from the organization I joined in 2005.

My buddy married a great girl from Columbia.

Ah. I didn’t know you were from Canada. I wouldn’t know how they handle the draft. I’d assume it’s basically the same.

Not how it would work, bud. They’d send you a letter with a time and place to show up. If you didn’t show, they’d issue a warrant. Then they’d just wait for you to get picked up for a traffic violation or something. I spent 18 years in the army. The woke ideology has infiltrated it to the point that it’s almost unrecognizable from the organization I joined in 2005. And the advent of women in combat arms has had an overall negative effect on unit strength. Even the ones that have the right attitu…

Hit the gym. Grow a beard. Muscles, grooming, and a good sense of style overcome basic looks in most situations.

The answer for someone in your age group? You need to be on your grind. Work hard now, so you can play hard later. Spend your 20’s working on you. Play the field with the knowledge that you won’t consider marriage or long term relationships until you’re at least 30. You’re still figuring out who you are as a man. That would be my advice.

I’m for mandatory paternity testing before the birth certificate is signed. Paternity fraud is rampant in the US. It should be a felony.

Laws may be gender neutral, but statistically, men lose in family court. A 2016 study showed that 98% of alimony payments were made to women and 85% of child support payments are made to women.

I don’t even have to read it, to tell you she’ll get the minimum sentence possible.

Vasectomies are only reversible up to a point. I think it’s 3 years in most cases.

Anyone else notice, that the woman is facing a significantly lighter sentence.

I wish I would’ve known better at your age. I wasted way too much time chasing females in high school.

Worked at Darby phase for two years. People I talked to, said those females didn’t pass legitimately. They were pushed through.

Knew a guy that had been married 10+ years, 3 kids with his wife. He was on his third deployment in Iraq. While he was gone, his wife starts banging some brand new private that was getting kicked out. She gets pregnant, leaves her husband. Doesn’t tell him shit. He came home to an empty house and had to spend 2 months tracking her down, just to see his kids. He still got destroyed during the divorce. Shit ain’t right.

I have two daughters, still young. I’m already working to instill the idea that you have to work for every penny. But, I also try to reward good behavior. I have a Purple Heart, so their first four years of college are paid for, but I haven’t told them. I want them to work hard for scholarships, as if that was their only option.

Doesn’t matter. This one will tank, just like Ghostbusters and Oceans 8.

The laws vary state to state. I’m currently in Arizona. Laws a pretty relaxed. Just be sure you learn the differences between an AR pistol and a Short Barrelled Rifle. You need a $200 tax stamp for an SBR.

I love building AR’s. Just finished building an AR pistol. Plan on building an AR10 next. I order the parts separately, then put it all together. I can either keep it and go shoot, or sell it for a significant profit.
