Pf is rapidly becoming a laughingstock in my eyes. Ever since it became public it went from a place to discuss finance to a bunch of idiots asking "how do I money?". Not to mention the mods who openly admit they give advice on subject they are not familiar with, because "just because i dont know it doesnt mean i cant give advice on it". Also, you got banned because "break up with her" type of advice is against the rules. Not even joke, check the rules on sidebar if you dont believe it.

Honestly, the current law wouldn't be nearly so bad if the payments are capped at a reasonable level (a hard max amount and a % income cap, which ever is lower) instead of calculated so that the spouse can "live at the level they were accustomed to"

Have you ever had a job you despised? A job that was a countdown to the weekend and release on a monday, and a countdown on the weekend until monday's despair. Where waking up five morning a week is contemptible. You're in the wrong job then. There are very few jobs where you'll hate everything about it, and on the flip side, there are very few jobs where you'll enjoy everything about it. Finding a job that pays well while balance it all out is basically what you have your 4 years of undergrad f…

Ramsey had decent ideas on paying off debts, some of which I personally don't subscribe to. Not really applicable to me since I don't have any debts. Investment side I'm from the Bogle school of indexing. 60k is enough to max out all your 401k/HSA/Roths and still be able to live on the rest of it, but not everyone has that kind of discipline.

People adjust their lifestyle to their income. Lack of discipline How is taking a risk instead of seeking stability feel good bullshit? trp is pretty big on consequences of your actions. If you feel the risk is worth it, then fine, go take the risk. Personally not my cup of tea.

You can be in a lower income bracket with a profession you love, or be in the top income bracket with a profession you do not like. Seriously? I expect this kind of feel good bullshit advice from askwomen, not on trp. Be in the top income bracket, slug it out for about 10 years, and once you get the financial stability needed, go for the profession you love. I had quite a few finance professors who left their six figure jobs because they always wanted to be teachers, but wanted to be more financ…

If this is right, the avg weight of a woman in 2002 is ~164 pounds, so in a sense, she's probably technically of average weight. EDIT: For those of you more statistically minded who are thinking we should be using median weights instead, then this here show that women age 20-29 has a median weight of 132 pounds. Not as bad as 164, but unless she's at least 5'7", that's still on the chubbier side.

Rough Translation: If you move to China, you will meet less girls. China has more males than females. You will beat your little brother everyday. Don't listen to others say "Asian men can't see girls", they don't understand TRP. Exercise 3-4 times daily. Eat well. If a girl gives you shit, find another one. That is TRP. I feel like I'm missing something with the beating the lil' bro talk. I'm guessing a euphemism for the dick. Otherwise the entire thing is basically white people Chinese.

Yes, but you cannot touch a penny of that trust during your entire marriage. Not exactly practical or feasible for most people, especially given how most people tend to marry young. And i imagine for it to be ironclad, you'd probably need to set it up before your first date or something to prevent her claiming you set up the trust just to screw her.

Usually half of length of marriage. States with lifetime alimony grants that if the marriage lasts longer than 10 years generally. It is my personal opinion that if you have to get married for god knows what reason, at least do it in Texas. It has the most "fair" laws when it comes to alimony.

Married filing joint uses another tax bracket based on a higher combined income ranges. You save only with a lower earning spouse means your combined income is taxed at a lower rate. When both spouses make alot of money, they are nearly always better off filing separate. Say the marriage last 10 years. You saved $10k. Big whoop, half plus alimony is probably higher than that.

Modern Chinese culture. You are not a "man" unless you have enough money to afford a wife plus having mistresses on the side. The minimum requirement of courtship (not marriage, just the "privilege" of courtship) for a guy is having at least a car and a house. A quick look into the inflated real estate in China should be enough to see why so very few people can manage both.

It not realistic because feminists would scream oppression or patriarchy. It also far too drastic a change and people likely wont support it. Change need to occur slowly. Divorce and alimony reform is a good starting point, and you can see how much resistance there are against it. Some women are screaming bloody murder when NJ was trying to change their lifetime alimony rules that would stop lifetime alimony payments when the guy retires.

The female body doesn't "want" to get pregnant with more than one child, so it has a an temporary off switch signaled by a hormone (progestin) As someone already stated in that thread, tricking the body into thinking it's pregnant for a long period of time is going to be a wreck on a women's hormonal systems. If RISUG works as advertised it would basically replace condoms. Unless RISUG suddenly magically protects you from STDs, condoms aren't going anywhere.

What better proof a man can commit and is attractive, than that he’s already committed and found to be attractive?
