Ewwww I remember being totally grossed out when I was 18/19 and I had to go get get birth control. I visited a family practice and the doctor was this fat old guy. He gave me a physical and it was the longest physical of my life. He had me strip down to my bra/underwear and I swear to god i was in that room for over 20 minutes as he assessed my body. The whole time I was weirded out. I clothed myself and met him in his office. His exact words were “well I understand why your boyfriend can’t keep…

My ex was a pro chef and I can count on 1 hand the amount of times he actually made a decent meal in the 5.5 years we lived together. Otherwise his specialty was Totinos pizza, microwaved red barons pizza, and take out (which I paid for). Dinner usually consisted of arguments where I had to decide what to eat and make it or buy it. Then if he was in the kitchen with me there was usually an argument about how I chose to make things. The most he contributed was in cutting onions for me but I was o…

Brings me back to a guy I dated who told me that “every woman he ever dated” had been into rough sex and called me a child for not wanting to do anal. 🙄🙄 I was literally afraid to have sex with him after a time and he made to feel inferior to other women because I wasn’t into nasty sex. Ugh I hate that culture! Sex should be pleasurable, not violent.

All the replies are “I’m impressed at how well he kept his cool after the dog bite! You need to lock that man down!” With of course not one in regard to her safety

Oh absolutely. I don’t think this is a boyfriend either, just some guy she brought home from a bar. In the comments she mentions how she’s been “crushing on him” 🤢😩🚩🚩🚩

I had loving and supportive parents, but I didn’t have many close friends as a child. I actually struggled a lot with body image in late childhood and early adolescence as a consequence of being overweight and slightly awkward. What helped me the most was seeing the confidence of other women in my life who weren’t conventionally attractive. Somehow these women had this gravitational pull that I always admired. I had met many women in my life like that throughout the years. I learned it was reall…

I don't know why but things my exes said negatively about my appearance never really bothered me. One ex told me I was plain without my septum ring. But he was also massively insecure and I knew that. Even towards the end when we split up, he said he lied to me a ton because he hates himself and wanted to pull me down with him. Then at some point after we split up, I pulled out my septum ring in spite. Another ex used to mumble derogatory expletives under his breath when he tried to get a rise o…

It bothers me because gaslighting never looked like any of this in my last relationship. For my ex it was always "you aren't listening to what I'm saying" as I would recall events leading up to the argument to better understand what happened. Then he would follow up with "you're just telling me what happened. You aren't listening. Just stop and listen" This led to hour+ long arguments where I would have to walk out occasionally when he got too heated. I remember telling him in multiple arguments…

Oh my god the fact that Elon used the term "emotional manipulation" for her being sad about losing her son to SIDS really hits home for me. My ex used to say the SAME thing when I cried... that I was just manipulating him. Why are these men so deranged?

Not always. I had one guy say “so what?! I make good money. I bet I can take care of you better than he can baby! Lemme get your number!” Or another when I was engaged and in my car at a stoplight. “I don’t care that you’re engaged!” My ac wasn’t even working that day but I still rolled my window up to avoid talking to him.

I was with this man for 5.5 years. We have a 3 year old together. Why didn’t I break up with him at first? He told me he’d never leave me. I thought he was just misunderstood. I rationalized it by saying “everyone deserves to be loved.” We had a child together and I didn’t want to break up the family, like my family was broken. I thought things might turn around eventually. What was my breaking point? His complete disrespect for my family on a family vacation. After spending over 1k on him durin…
