Wtf? You’re watching too much tv

So mother’s aren’t the same way? I don’t understand your logic. Anyone can be nurturing. Just because you’re a father or the “man of the family” doesn’t mean that you’re nurturing. Also, there are plenty of males that don’t fit that stereotype, and many females (or gender queer folks) who do.

Will do! Thank you <3

Honestly, I need to unsub from r/purplepilldebate. The kinds of posts are truly affecting my perception of what most men are like and what I can expect from a relationship. Peace, inc*ls.

Wtf lmao. How is makeup not considered a fun hobby to pass the time? And what man has a personality that “revolves” around being selfless and nurturing? That’s just bizarre

The bar is low for men’s behaviour. Looks are another thing altogether. For example, a lot of women (myself included) will go “oh my gosh, he gave me a towel after doing xyz!” or “yeah, he held the door open for me!” like it’s something special. In reality, it’s just basic manners. This is what we mean by the bar is on the floor.

This is exactly why I have a second account. My original account has some personal info on it, including selfies. I’m so thankful that I have the option of having more than one Reddit account to express myself freely. I don’t post anything remotely controversial on my original account in fear of it coming back to bite me/being doxxed.

Wow, thanks for sharing! It’s funny because I’m 20 and Belle looks younger than me with makeup.

Hang onto that screenshot just in case anything happens. He is the unprofessional one in this scenario. I highly doubt that this “man” will actually follow through with this threats, but I agree with the other Redditors on here. Use that fake LinkedIn account to have him reported

Call her daddy! It’s a pretty entertaining podcast in my opinion. I don’t agree with a lot of the things that they say, though

You’re so right. They have the audacity to make derogatory comments about the appearance of these beautiful (and powerful) women, and then f*ck a couch cushion. How logical.

Literally every guy has said this to me and it’s incredibly frustrating. Lol that’s why I hardly interact with men anymore

I second this! I’m getting my own cat after I finish exams and I couldn’t be more excited.

I would looove to see the podcast address a few things: 1) How it’s now a disgrace to be vanilla (everyone should have kinds and fetishes, apparently) 2) Popular music of today (lots of misogyny, especially in rap music) 3) Comments such as “my throat is empty” and “I just wanna 🧎🏼‍♀️” on tiktok. Lots of young girls have been posting these things and I find it a wee bit concerning 4) Other podcasts such as CHD (are they good for feminism?) I’ve listened to the first two podcasts so far and they …

I’ve tried watching porn; it’s totally not for me. Now I’m unsure whether I’m asexual or just suuuper picky. Regardless, this is a great post! Edit: grammar, ugh.

While I do believe this article is satire, it’s important to remember that eating disorders: 1) lower your sex drive 2) cause malnourishment (and lead to deficiencies) 3) are bad for your teeth if you’re bulimic 4) cause you to think about food constantly 5) make your energy levels drop significantly I don’t know what this guy is talking about. His claims are disgusting and just plain stupid.

I get that. Using “cat lady” as an insult, though, is a rarity. Given the question, I think you could have been more descriptive instead of just saying “cat lady.”
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/21 06:49 PM

Thought I’d check. A lot of people dislike cats. The traits that people associate with “cat ladies” differ from person to person. That’s why I asked in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/21 06:32 PM

I know what a cat lady is, but everyone’s interpretation of a cat lady is different. Some people just think of cat ladies as women who own multiple cats.

I’m not trolling, what? I haven’t heard of the stereotype in ages. Also, I think my comment history is pretty decent

I see. I mean, you can be a cat lady and not have those kinds of traits. I, for one, love cats and plan on having more than one when I graduate. Does that mean that I will also be single, childless, and not go on dates?

“Cat lady” is subjective. How you define it matters in this context.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/21 04:16 PM

Really? What defines a cat lady?

Flakes are terrible. Ngl, I’ve flaked on people before by agreeing to meet up (no set time) and not following through. Thankfully I no longer have this habit. Now I just say no if I’m not interested

If someone chooses to sleep around, it’s their business. Why should we have to shame them at all? Gender shouldn’t matter. And anyways, women are allowed to have standards. As a decently good-looking woman, I’m not going to settle for someone that I’m not attracted to. That would be a waste of my time.
