| 1 | I left...That much time dealing with an alcoholic does screw with your perceptions in very subtle ways. Unless you are a superman of emotional well being, take a minute to Google what Al-Anon is or just YouTube Al-Anon speakers.... Very entertaining and honest take on situations involving relationships with alcoholics. Truly from the heart I highly suggest it. It's sort of the opposite of alcoholics anonymous. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/09/17 06:11 AM |
| 2 | Reinventing yourself after divorce.Similar boat. I said screw sitting around tonight, with basically no plan I looked up local events and went to see some live bluegrass music at a bar/club solo. Just to get out and around people doing something. I didn't have any motive to meet women or drink. Just getting out to enjoy music and be around folks having a good time seems healthy enough without any social pressure or anything. That's not exactly reinventing myself but I'd recommend it, it got me out of my own head for awhile. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/09/17 05:54 AM |
