It's funny that people are so polarized I can't tell who the monster is in the situation described. Would the torches be for the lying whore who cried rape or for the merciless villain who took advantage of a poor woman?

I don't think men can make appeals to emotion since they don't receive much sympathy. Pointing out a double standard is an appeal to logic, which as best I can tell is the only viable strategy.

The standards the surveys use to get those statistics are ridiculous. If your wife comes home drunk and horny and begs to suck your dick you are a rapist for allowing her.

I've read that 2/3rds of sexually aggressive males and male rapists were victims of abuse like this. Does anyone have a citation? It's ironic that our current leniency towards female predators is making the next generation of male rapists.

This is interesting, but there is not really enough data to draw a meaningful conclusion. We could answer this question once and for all with a few volunteers and a browser extension that could switch randomly (but be consistent inside conversations )between 3 accounts, 2 gendered and one neutral. Of course this extension would have to be called gender blender.

Last time I was there it felt like the mind was in flux. There was (is) a vocal minority of genuine misogynists, and a larger group or rational men who just feel hard done by.

Most people on that sub believe judges and courts to be biased in the woman's favor in divorce/ custody proceedings. Enough so that they were surprised by your story. Also it makes sense for people to be skeptical after they feel misled (bite me once). Either way it's commendable that you and your ex kept it classy.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
