He was found not guilty. That means they didn't have enough evidence to convict him beyond a reasonable doubt. She may have told the truth, she may have lied. We have no idea. If you're not used to the Japanese voices, then the first parts of dragon ball super are kind of rough, but it does get a whole lot better. You could argue that where Super is at now is as good as the series has ever been. I'd say give it a shot. If you can't get past the different voices, then wait for the English version of Super. I'm sure that will be very well done

A fair point, but for every criteria we try and set for "personhood" has odd counterexamples that logically arise. That's why the moral status distinction is commonly used among philosophers that write on the issue. So in your scenario, you're equating personhood with brain function. Or maybe you're equating moral status with brain function? Either way, there are counterexamples. For instance, we would consider severely mentally handicapped people to be persons, but there are certainly scenarios…
