I agree with MrProficient but want to elaborate on my perspective. You quite literally cannot quantify the value of having a supportive spouse. Maybe they cooked and did the dishes, maybe they gave you a sounding board, maybe they simply snuggled up to you, OR maybe they simply fulfilled your need for a relationship, removing that variable from your life (that's a key part for my wife and I, along with all of the meaningful stuff). Dating, meeting people, that occupies bandwidth that can best be…

No, the truth is that Reddit can capture a huge undertapped user base by creating sensational "women's" communities. The reason that I put that in quotes is that you'd be surprised at how many of the mods in those communities are not women. Moreover, right now is the popular time to bash on men. It gets them more clicks and views and support even from outside organizations because it's the popular topic. Do not be surprised if and when Reddit flips around and takes a different approach on issues…

I still don't understand how the whole thing kept moving forward. All I know is that being tailed then "interviewed" by police because they mistook me for my brother was a step too far for me. The whole process was insanely invasive and it hadn't taken long for them to get testimony and dna evidence that my brother didn't do it, so I'm not sure why or how it was allowed to drag on for years. He was as helpful as he could be, to his own detriment. He regularly commuted between Oregon and the SF B…

That is 100% what happened to my brother. DNA evidence exonerated him. If that wasn't good enough, witnesses did too. But the prosecuting attorney was determined to force the case closed before she gave birth, which was coming up quick. As though it wasn't enough to destroy his life, college career, and mental health, they went further and forced him to take a plea deal on something he didn't do. This was primarily because he could no longer afford an attorney and already maxed out loans to figh…

Ya, what it was suppose to be: Upvote if it contributes to the conversation Downvote if it doesn’t Instead people use it as “like” or “dislike” even though plenty of the “likable/liked” things don’t contribute or even detract from, while enough of the “disliked” were actually things that contributed but people didn’t agree with it like.

You don’t have to believe in it for it to exist. It is possible that there was literally nothing he could do that day to stop this person from coming after him. If he chose to not open his shop that day she could have tried taking an angle on that or waited for another day to attack. It’s possible that if he did cut her hair nothing bad would have come from it. That’s not the problem though. The problem is that it is socially acceptable to have women only places but NOT acceptable to have men on…

If he had cut the daughters hair he would have been sunk for sure. The woman would have gotten him for not being qualified. There was no win for him in this situation. It’s bullshit.

Part-time Community college faculty here. (I also run around the SF Bay Area and help people with exactly this) I’m going to say you’re actually going to see fewer people going to 4 year institutions. Ive been pushing a similar agenda as people like Peter Thiel in encouraging people to remember there are many routes to being successful and doing what you want to do. A friend of mine went from a bachelors program at a state school to R&D at Applied Materials. Everyone will tell you “you need a Ph…

Well, there’s some truth to the fact that we need to recognize the achievements of women and minorities who haven’t been recognized, some of who even had the credit flat out stolen from them. Example: Rosalind Franklin They men flat out stole her results after she worked incredibly hard to not only image the molecule but also double check her conclusion. They won a nobel prize for her work, she didn’t get recognized until more recently. There’s a history of this. As a man, it pisses me off becau…

Agreed. When I saw where it was from I was sad to see it in our sub. Being associated with that community will destroy any credibility we might have in standing up for ourselves and progress. It’s identical to the feminist movement: they need to not associate themselves with “feminazis” and other extremists and wackadoodles.

Another dude here. I agree with you, but let’s be careful. There are many different types of “feminists” We don’t want to put the ones that are striving towards positive equality in with those who are male-bashing, those are two separate groups. What’s sad about Vice is that Suroosh Alvi was a drug addict whose life fell apart. He got lucky meeting someone through Narcotics Anonymous who gave him a chance. I’d recommend listening to the story on NPR. I imagine the reason they’re saying stuff lik…

Ever seen twins? How about doppelgängers? Knowing someone's face from media like this isn't necessarily sufficient to identify them. Ever hear about famous celebrities losing their own look-alike contests because they didn't look as much like themselves as people thought. (Hugh Jackman, Charlie Chaplin, and Dolly Parton are 3 such examples) That's just my take on why "her face [being] all over the internet" doesn't necessarily mean much.

The truth is: There are MANY keys to approaching girls. The real one is this: they are a human just like you and anyone else. They are shy, on guard, like to laugh, appreciate admiration, enjoy thrill, and feel Everything that you do. The whole point of the art of seduction and PUAs is to leverage that knowledge successfully toward a goal. You'll come across a million gurus on here. Everyone will post their secret sauce and YouTube videos and website. The truth is: all and none of that will help…

I understand now. It is true, women have a limited number of eggs and long gestation period. Thank you, your response, as well as the others, were very thought provoking.
/r/MensRights06/01/17 07:11 PM

places women above men Not too happy to hear that train thought. Everything else sounded really good but that thinking perpetuates inequality instead of continuing to push for equality. Yes, there will always be differences between ethnicities and genders, but the idea is for us to stop trying to be "above" one another. So why add that? Why think that way? Do you really want a reversion to older ways of thinking with one gender "above" and the other "below"? If what you're saying is what I think…
/r/MensRights06/01/17 04:13 AM

That's not the point. The point is: Assuming males and females had equal likelihood of committing a crime, then it should be no surprise if we see a greater quantity committing that crime when they are proportionately more represented in a population. Simple example: 50 males 50 females, both genders have 50% chance to commit crime. Thus 25 males and 25 females commit the crime. Now make that 80 females and 20 males. Now we have 40 females and 10 males committing that crime. While that is a very…

Yes, the fact that women are more likely to be in those positions is an important detail. What is unfortunate is the lack of interest in more up-to-date research in these areas.

The same reason we don't see more male babysitters. But, oh wait, I guess female babysitters do fucked up stuff too case 1, case 2, case 3 Warning: Case 3 is a bit rough. How about death cases: Case 4, Case 5, case 6. What's saddest is that it's easy to find cases of female babysitters killing the child they are charged with caring than it is to find to rape and molestation cases (even though those aren't as rare as it might seem). The sexual assault cases get buried due to societal viewpoints t…

That's not new. I was getting those back in 2012-2013 when I played with Tinder (I got bored of it after a year) But yes, meetup.com and plenty other resources exist to meet people such that they don't need to use dating apps for that.

My SO tries doing that. I'll remind her that we're running out of time to actually do the thing (30 minutes browsing Netflix when we're trying to go to sleep in 90 and just want to watch a show?) or I pick the thing and tell her "choice goes to the decisive!" She'll laugh and go along, unless there's something she REALLY wanted. When that happens we decide based on who wants their respective plan more, or if there's a middle ground.

I got some of the best advice about how to pickup gals from other gals. You just need to actively listen and think both about the surface message as well as underlying processes.

It's real. It works. But you can be successful with or without it. I personally enjoyed it and other PUA books but never applied the stuff because I've been fine with my life. Always met awesome gals during things I did: barbecues, parties, social outings I hosted, and etc. I think the best advice in the book is as the end, and that was that you'll end up finding what you want most by being yourself. Back to whether the stuff is legit, you won't truly believe anyone here until you commit to tryi…

Many of them put this. It's just the current shit test trend... Ignore it. Either you'll make them curious enough to meet up, then be able to seduce them in person, or you'll move on.

Just politely stop if she flakes again. Leave it be. Do NOT take it personally (or make it personal) One of two things will happen: Either she's playing cat and mouse and will think she lost her toy, thus coming back to you to ask why you don't want to hang out/ why you aren't still asking her. or Nothing. She wasn't interested in more hanging out. In either case, being your own independent person will make you more attractive and look better to any mutual people who might have noticed what's be…

True it's hard to determine whether it's just flirting for fun or more. We play with fire because it's exciting. We continue to play as long as we don't get burned. With that being said, Bridge has some good points.

You have to be able to offer something they are not getting. Be fitter, funnier, and more fascinating. That will work with ones not 100% committed. Using my SO as an example: I keep things adventurous and exciting, I playfully flirt, take her out to classy dinners, make her feel special (but also not entitled to all of this), and give her the sex of her fantasies (sometimes loving, sometimes I get out the belt and tear her clothes off) She has no desire to be with another guy. I also don't even …

Btw I say this because my SO, soon to be fiancé and I are like that and we both think it's hilarious She loves that I "rewoo" her (pua her again) from time to time. It keeps things fresh. We both know that we don't have to do that to have a good, fun relationship, but it adds to the fun

I agree with ON what I would add is this: Continue to practice some on her Being a dick can be really funny, as long as you don't do it maliciously. Also don't do it all the time, that gets boring and routine. Neg her every once in a while as a joke. Make sure you both laugh and also make sure that you haven't implanted insecurity into her subconscious. Otherwise, have fun!

I've had a lot of success with this. The first time I noticed it I was actually doing a cultural anthropology project and so I was sitting in the back corner of a bar with a notepad and pen. Got 3 free drinks, a phone number, a Facebook invite (different person), and a gay guy hitting on me. While others here have good points I think the key to it all is this: I made people curious. I'm average looks and average height.

Oh and I agree with you. Don't slut yourself out to lose your virginity, it won't help. (Aka harpoonin the ol' white whale) When I see a skinny, attractive dude with a beastly, gross blob, I always laugh and repeat: "Jack Sprat could eat no fat, His wife could eat no lean, But in between the two of them, They'd lick the platter clean." Usually she's doing the plate-licking... Don't be a Jack Sprat

You don't have to drink to go out. I have a number a friends that get a glass or solo cup of water (cup appropriate to the venue) and they are just a popular with the opposite gender as those of us actually drinking. To build a social life (and social proof): create events, lead. I throw dinner parties, pancake breakfasts, barbecues, workout groups, coffee dates, movie nights (both at my place and going out), game nights, and more. If you're not comfortable diving right in, start small. Start wi…

David is only partially correct. It is possible to disconnect from her for a while, come back, and attract her, even if you had been in the "friend zone". I've done this on several occasions, the most recent being this past Christmas. I hadn't talked to her or seen her in ~5-6 years and I was visiting home for Christmas (across the country) for 2 days. The first day we hung out with some friends, the second day we had some of the most amazing sex I've ever had. There wasn't a room in her house I…

Never failed me: Once your lips have touched hers, flow HER lead at first. There are a hand full of what I call "standard ways to kiss" And you don't want to freak a chick out. Once you've mirrored her style and you two have gotten comfortable kissing you can either take the lead or stick with what you're doing (both work fine)

Communicate Gentle is a good place to start, but it doesn't get it for everyone. Make sure to tell her at some point in the beginning while you're getting into things to "tell you if she likes what you're doing, tell you harder, softer, faster, slower, more gentle, or more rough" If you ask her what she likes or doesn't and she is shy about it (or maybe she just doesn't know) then have her play around with you and find something she likes. Pick up on cues. If you're kinesthetically oriented, fee…

I don't think I understand why you added the women part instead of just stating that it's how we should talk to people in general. My response would be the same if you had said men. And yes, I agree with this concept as well. It's served me well for over 2 decades of communicating with people since I learned about these things. Try using someone's name from their name tag the next time you're at a store. Make sure to end with "have a great day [name]" or "thanks for all the help [name]" you'll n…

Both are wrong. You can't make such an overarching broad statement about frats. Some have mandatory study hours and attract honor role students. Others are full of retards. On the other hand, I HIGHLY recommend avoiding frats because the chance of even a date rape allegation, let alone the actual situation itself, are way to high. Play it smart college students and you'll win the game!

I'm not going to bullshit you like so many others on a seduction forum: I do not agree with Josh. Mind you I'm not anywhere near an expert on pickup. I am, however, an expert on people. (Social psychology and psychology student) Those apps make it easy to deal not need the same active in-the-moment confidence it takes to walk up to a stranger and interact with them. You don't deal with the same in-the-moment risk of rejection nearly as readily as if you walked up to someone on the street, in a c…
