The most powerful weapon against a narcissist is silence. Not the snub of childish silent treatment, but obvious, intentional non-response, in the face of verbal aggression.

I hear you. My teen daughter told me that her mom “knows” that I give her alcohol. My daughter and I both laughed and said “maybe the mouthwash is what she means?” My daughter jokes about it now. I gave her Advil for a headache and she said “I guess this means your just providing me with drugs, Haha”

Not right now. I don’t know if that will ever change. If I ever considered it, an airtight prenup is mandatory.

Right in the middle of the same shit hole myself. The one saving grace of my divorce is that my soon to be ex is so incredibly toxic that she drove my teenage daughter to run away to live with me, and defy direct police confrontation to remove her from my house. When kids get older, the toxic behavior will start to drive them towards you. Until then, hold on, and know that you can’t control your ex’s behavior or if your kids choose to love you. Yes! She opened new accounts to “help organize” finances. She drained accounts and I demanded access. She told me that the new accounts were in her name only……oh shit. Yep, she really did that. Found a google search on her computer from 2 years prior to her filing with exact wording “how to make your husband move out”. The past 2 years have been me looking like a fool for going to couples therapy thinking she was trying. Nope, it was all just a diversion to keep me in the hook long enough to get…

She already took off with a lot of funds having been planning for 2 years before I realized. Legal fees to prove what she took are more than I would get. I was married to a hardcore narcissist, it’s hell

Thank you, I needed that. Around a year in and pushing 100k in legal fees, and that was only fighting insane accusations.

I am (M) in the middle of a nasty divorce. I have heard that some men can jump back in, but I’ve been so traumatized by an abusive woman for so long that I don’t feel interested in other people at all. I think it has a lot to do with how dysfunctional and contentious the divorce/separation is. The more upsetting the people experience, the more hesitant one would be IMO.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
