They be trippinNice, I had a a similar deal with my ex. She knew I had come into some inheritance. I had quit my job to explore other careers but offered to keep paying her through direct instead of through CMS (UK child support). She refused, then tried to take me to court when the CMS could no longer collect the money from my employer. The issue is that CMS only take income into account, me having a shit ton of inheritance couldn't be counted. So when I quit my job technically my payments should drop to zero… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 17/06/20 12:39 PM
They be trippinI agree, in the UK it's close to that but you can still pay a high amount. In the UK the CMS (child maintenance service) sets the rate. It's 12% of your income for 1 child, 16% for two and capped at 19% for three. It's also capped if your earnings are £3k per week. So the most a person can pay is £29,640 per year if they had 3 kids who didn't live with him. They can take you to court for more money called a "top up" order. But they have to prove that you seem to be fiddling you taxes, hiding inc… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 17/06/20 07:55 AM
Men should be able to seek damages in the case of Paternity Fraud & Child Support -- r/unpopularopinionJust imagine, if everyone had DNA taken you would be sure straight away and if there was an issue the real father could automatically be notified because his DNA would have been taken when he was born. It's only a mouth swab. However I'm not a massive fan of governments having all our data on file. But used properly it could solve crimes and force some questionable women to be more truthful. | /r/MensRights | 15/02/20 02:44 PM
Men should be able to seek damages in the case of Paternity Fraud & Child Support -- r/unpopularopinionI believe the mother can refuse in the UK but if she does then she can't claim child support from that man. | /r/MensRights | 15/02/20 02:36 PM
Men should be able to seek damages in the case of Paternity Fraud & Child Support -- r/unpopularopinionIn the UK you can dispute paternity before paying. When I did it (14years ago, may have changed) the child support agency contacted with you to say that you've been listed as a child's father and how to pay etc. There was also an option to dispute paternity, at the time they paid for a DNA test and the losing party had to refund them £380. So I'm assuming this post is for a country that doesn't let you dispute before paying? Doesn't seem right... In my case I am the dad but it was a one night th… | /r/MensRights | 15/02/20 11:11 AM
Scammer got what was coming to herHappened to me, was paying £310pcm set by the csa (UK child support agency) and she decided that wasn't enough. She complained and the csa reviewed our case. They determined I should be paying £239 because they failed to make a reduction for travel costs (she moved an hour away) and that she owed me nearly £700 (I'd kept paying whilst out of work which on paper I didn't have to do). The funny thing is that I begged her to avoid using the csa because they had a bed reputation for being dicks (and… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 14/10/19 07:22 AM
Women who have a child against a man's will should be liable for damages. Essay by me, a man who was forced into fatherhood at age 22.Here in the UK it's still that way if the father pays or not. It does not affect how much in benefits the mother is entitled to. | /r/MensRights | 04/09/19 07:15 AM
Women who have a child against a man's will should be liable for damages. Essay by me, a man who was forced into fatherhood at age 22.One of the Scandinavian countries let's unwilling father's sign away their rights, I'm sure the judges statement was, "you shouldn't get a lifelong responsibility for 1 night of fun". | /r/MensRights | 04/09/19 05:45 AM
Women who have a child against a man's will should be liable for damages. Essay by me, a man who was forced into fatherhood at age 22.I'm sure one of the Scandinavian countries now don't force the father to remain involved if he didn't want a child. I was in your place when I was 19, I didn't tell my parents for 8 months. I was sure they'd kick me out. So I bottled it up, I thought I handled it well but when I did tell my mum she said that they thought I'd been on drugs due to the drastic personality change. Mum didn't kick me out. Those 8 months of hell means since then I only sleep for 5 hours a night, I went to the GP who s… | /r/MensRights | 04/09/19 05:42 AM
UK Judge calls for overhaul of marriage law that men must pay their ex-wives for lifePrenups aren't a thing here. Except a few years ago a Scottish court upheld a prenup for the first time. So I guess we can have one but we just don't. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 23/03/18 10:48 AM
