Yes, grow up and be better. You were kissed at a party? In what world does that happen? A person don’t just start kissing another person without some interest from the other. Whether you told him or not, you encouraged this behavior or at least didn’t convincingly dissuade the person who kissed you. Then you had a boyfriend and you were flirting with someone else to make your boyfriend jealous? Where did you learn this horrible behavior? No wonder he doesn’t want to be around you. You sure as he…

I work on the road and am home less than 30 days a year. I was able to take 6 days off between projects and see my boyfriend. He lives in my home and is not the best house keeper. I came home with only a few hours of notice and there were fresh sheets on the bed and the kitchen was mainly clean. These are my two pet peeves and despite him running his own business, he got these two things done for me. I feel very loved and valued.

I’m substantially older than you, but I dress conservatively and use a vlogger named Angie/hotandflashy for inspiration. https://youtu.be/Wz1vy1QQ79k Here is a video she just put out for summer. She is in her early 50’s and does dress conservatively, but she is certainly not wearing mumus. Her style is conservative without anything hanging out that shouldn’t be, but is also stylish and not hugely expensive.

I think it depends on the industry. I have a very normal professional girlfriend. Type A, hospitality sales, looks like a million bucks all the time, always together and “on.” She had lots of professional colleagues at her wedding. I work construction. I wouldn’t dream of even telling my colleagues about my wedding let alone invite them.

You strive for self-improvement for you. It’s just that one of the additional benefits is that it inspires commitment from your partner.

What an assuming comment you made without knowing the circumstances. I support the family. My salary supports me, him, his kid, his grandkid and his mother. He keeps the house running and runs his own business while physically caring for an elderly parent. I make more money than he ever will. I defer to him on things on the home front. It works for us.

I’m a construction manager. I build, modify or move industrial plants across the world. I’m not home much (less than 30 days a year), but it works for us. I take care of him as best I can, help his business from afar and when I am home, get his laundry under control, meal prep for another couple of weeks and get the house clean again. I’ve had lots of careers. I used to build houses then a went back to school for a construction degree and moved to the commercial side of construction. Definitely …

I was the lone female in an Army unit (medic) in Iraq twice. The amount of consternation and angst experienced by the guys and caused by the women at home was heartbreaking. Communicate with your guy now. Sit him down and let him know what he means to you and that you’ll be waiting eagerly for his return. After he’s gone, send letters, pictures, news clippings of things he might be interested in. Ziplock bags are king. Send everything in ziplock bags. Sand and dust is ubiquitous and ziplock bags…

I’m sorry you’ve painted yourself into a corner. You think you know him, but he sounds like he’s gaslighting you repeatedly. You should never break off contact with friends and family because of a man. Your husband supplements your life, not supplants it. By allowing a man to be the only thing in your life, you don’t bring anything to the relationship. Instead you become entirely dependent on him for all support, feedback, entertainment, companionship, etc. I’m sorry, but he almost certainly is …

Rather than face that he broke the marriage vows by cheating, its easier for him to accuse you of cheating. You can choose to try and make this work, but you already admitted his regular behavior before marriage was to cheat. Why would you think his behavior would change just because you got married?

What do you hope to achieve by yourself that you can’t achieve together? A good marriage allows both partners to grow. Think of your relationship as a tree. When the tree or your relationship is young, little things can upend the tree or your relationship. As you get older and the relationship matures, the roots are strong and intertwined. Sometimes the branches are close and sometimes they go in different directions, but the roots are always together. A marriage is like that. You two may have v…

I bullet journal and have for several years. I wrote out a recent post about how I use it on /r/bujo that you can see in my post history, but it’s work related. I am not a usual red pill woman in that I work construction on the road and am really only home about a month a year. It’s very easy to fall into bad habits with self care when I work 80 hours a week and won’t see the BF for weeks on end. I started using habit trackers. I don’t draw pretty pictures or have monthly themes, but I do use a …

Did someone’s desire for children change? Like were you both “no children” going into the marriage and he changed his mind? Were you ambivalent about kids pre marriage and then firmly came down in the “no kids” camp as you got older while he always wanted kids? This seems like a big discussion that got missed before marriage or one of you changed your mind after marriage. I don’t mean to be a Debbie Downer, but this isn’t something that can be compromised on. Having a child is a forever life-alt…
