| -10 | Is the wage gap real?I can tell you there's a perception gap. (Generalizing here but) Women tend to be more timid both I'm negotiation as well as their perception of their abilities. Men, on the other hand, tend to over estimate their abilities and negotiate harder. Then there are also "in-group" cognitive patterns where ... sometimes men prefer to hire and work with men ... and vice versa for women.
