For anyone who has been having reservations about this sub: swap any mentions to gender in this thread for a race, and read it back to yourself. I might suggest swapping "women" for "black people." Yes, the people in this sub are the same kind of people who would say: "whites caused all of the progress in the last 200 years."

Do you think the above article is describing some scheme that involves corralling all of the male school children into a room and presenting material to them alone? Highly doubtful. Perhaps it's in there though, idk. I only skimmed.

Any articles on this phenomenon? You're saying that most abuse/harassment perpetrated by boys today is a result of a missing male role model?

Why is there a lack of male role models? Where is this lack of male role models?

In this thread: 1. Framing the contents of the article as an "attack" on "boys." 2. Suggesting that it's only a "small minority" of boys that perpetuate violence/harm of all types. 3. Classic whataboutism that tries to genuinely derail the conversation. 4. Basically blaming feminism for the violence that is perpetuated by males. 5. Trying to LITERALLY diminish and pick apart the website that reports incidents of harassment and abuse. 6. Literally coming up with no actual solutions to fucking any…

Satire. This sub has to be fucking satire, and the comments have to be the output of the same script. I bet you look at BLS salary data on race and gender and think: "well that's just what NaTuRe InTeNdEd." As for the rest of your snide "gotcha" comment, it sounds like it was written by a slightly above average kid who is about to finish 11th grade. You're literally correct. Men do suffer from more violence on average (United States). Why? Toxic masculinity born out of a patriarchal culture. You…

This sub does understand that the concept of male disposability in this context is a product of patriarchal systems, right?

Is this sub actually this fucking braindead? Or is there some sort of satire that I'm not recognizing? Male disposability is a real phenomena in some contexts, and it is entirely born out of patriarchal systems. Patriarchal systems desire to GENERALLY place men over women, but there are some contexts where "weaker" men are used as fodder for the bolstering of "dominant" men. The patriarchy uses war/combat to bolster the glory of "dominant" men at the expense of "weaker" men.

Also, the issue isn't that she got a "get out of jail free" card, the issue is that western societies, particularly the US, are far too eager to imprison people. We shouldn't be calling for her imprisonment or execution. We should be calling for the genuine rehabilitation of men who are imprisoned or found guilty of a crime.

Misogyny: Bashing feminism as if it's some sort of global conspiracy (like neo-nazis bash jews) "Bitch" Implying the patriarchy is insignificant or non-existent Idiotic behavior: People calling for her death People calling for vigilante justice people calling her a "murderer" (Maybe this post isn't FILLED with the above, but the above things certainly are present)

What the fuck? You do realize that you too could accidentally hit and kill a cyclist/pedestrian, right? Society accepts that these sorts of incidents will happen...
/r/MensRights05/03/21 10:48 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
