I think they’re kind of gaslighting short men, but I don’t think they realize it. They’re almost gaslighting themselves Either way, height doesn’t prevent a man from finding a relationship. I’m 5’6 and finding relationships is generally easy for me. Where short men find themselves losing out is in casual sex, where most people agree it’s all about looks if you want that as a guy. I think what they say is more toward finding a relationship rather than casual sex.

But you are someone’s type While true, being someone’s, or being a very very very small group of women’s type isn’t exactly much better. That pool is so small you may never even come in contact with any of them. You’re better off being the type that most women have.

I sort of agree? I went to therapy and it really helped make my life more livable. Before I would consider suicide once an hour, and have severe depressive episodes lasting days or even weeks. Now, if I think about killing myself my mind completely snaps me out of it, and my depressive episodes when they happen are so much less severe and don’t last nearly as long. That being said, it didn’t bring me closer to my true goals in life. It didn’t make me more attractive or make me grow taller, or ge…

Finally, the thing I’ve been saying all along. Having a foreign woman marry you for your resources is just betabuxxing with more steps

I understand how you feel OP. Have you done anything to looksmax whatsoever? Because looks are the first thing you need to fix before even considering other factors

Lol, I’m not straight up evil. But I know I’m not a good person either, especially when you ask an average “doggo/pupper” Redditor what they consider the traits of a good person. And I’m pretty okay with that tbh.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/22 09:50 PM

Yeah. I’m not really that good of a person, but I’ve been able to find relationships relatively easily compared to the men of my attractiveness level (5’6 and right around average looking). It’s why I laugh at this idea that “being a bad person is why you’re not having success”, meanwhile how many women have complained about fuckboys?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/22 03:29 PM
2

Honestly, I’d be a Fuckboy if I had the physical features to be one. Not every guy can be one, there are definitely some prerequisites
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/22 08:01 PM

True, but Fuckboys do get laid more than other types. I’d be one if I had the physical features of one
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/22 07:54 PM

Yeah, it’s a very strange pivot into NiceGuy bashing even if the point is true. I thought we were talking about how the stereotype that women like “bad boys” is BS

I don’t know about that tbh. There are many people who have mental illnesses of all kinds, and they make their relationships work. It could be that they might be working on it, but I personally know quite a few where one or both suffered mental illness. One in particular is where he has tons of depression and anxiety, and didn’t get help until like 8 years into their relationship. They were the happiest people ever. Hell, I’m not some shining example of mental health over here, but I’ve been abl…

The whole self diagnosing thing really pisses me off. I’m actually diagnosed with mental illness, it’s not some fun thing to put in my bio on Instagram.

I agree with the threshold idea. Women have a threshold for their hookup partners, and their relationship partners. Usually, the former tends to be higher than the latter. It’s sort of like playing in any competition, there are certain things you need to qualify for the competition, but it doesn’t mean you’ll win. A hot guy can’t be an absolute autist and expect to bring a girl home for a hookup, but if he wasn’t hot he wouldn’t have even been considered by her.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/22 06:07 PM

Casual hookup apps do tell a story when i comes to casual sex. As a man who wants casual sex but can’t have it, my tinder experience pretty much mirrors my IRL experience which is that I don’t receive any interest for casual stuff I do think Tinder is skewed in the realm of relationships, but even ive met a girlfriend in the past on tinder and bumble.

“Love Goggles” is a thing for this situation. It’s why women think their boyfriend is so incredibly handsome, despite like no other woman thinking so. If the change slowly happens slowly over time, the man will also age with the woman and he will still have the same feelings for the woman when he first met her. Not to mention, the amount of investment and time into the relationship matters too
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/22 11:45 AM
2

Yeah. If a woman is into you for your money, you have a glorified prostitute at best. You might as well throw the money into making you actually physically attractive where money wouldn’t even be a thought
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/22 02:16 AM

Bruh, what even is this post? You’re saying that average men are hurting women by believing they are worthy of love and affection? Huh?

To be an “attractive looking” man.

/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/22 05:42 PM

I see it a decent amount, the girl is just usually shorter or the same height.

Bro, if you’re able to afford the investing in home weights…. You can afford a fucking gym membership
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/22 05:31 PM

To be fair, I don’t delude myself. I understand why I’m not chosen, which is why I’ve spent a lot of time and money to be that guy. I’m depressed that I can’t be that guy. And they might not admit it, but yeah that’s mostly what this sub is about.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/22 01:43 AM

And that’s the point I’m making. Of course she would go for the hottest guy. But better grooming habits and better style isn’t going to make a guy hot or in the top 20%.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/22 11:09 PM

But you don’t need to be upper middle class or upper class to get a gym memberships. Crunch is $10 a month, and the good food isn’t that expensive.

I can find relationships with a decent amount of ease, but that isn’t the challenge that most men are exactly facing. When it comes to things like casual sex (ONS or FWB) that has never happened for me. Or, like I said, when I’m in that relationship women outside don’t want me either so that woman is the only one that does find me attractive. And I’m a pretty social person too, never used bathroom selfies, above average grooming skills, don’t take women to Starbucks either. Lord knows my persona…

Women are living it on easy mode I suppose, though I do not believe it’s a personal thing or necessarily blame her. Rather, it’s just a very vast difference in experience. ”you’re ugly beyond redemption Which I find interesting, because it’s being framed in that way. Meanwhile I’m definitely not ugly, as are most men, it’s just we don’t have what’s under the clothing. I’m a pretty social person, I’ve been around and hung out with all types of groups. And the guys getting laid always looked the s…

Comments like the one I replied to really make me believe there is a strange disconnect from the real world. Like, I already do everything she is saying, but I’m not having women after me like she says. Lots of other guys on this, and other subreddits have the same situation. It’s just that some of these will groomed men are also short, or have average to below average facial features, or are balding, or have a bad frame.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/22 10:36 PM
1

I somewhat agree? Still though, I would be seeing much more ungroomed men vs groomed ones then. Hell, again I have done all you listed basically, and I’m not exactly sought after or getting a lot of attention. I can get a relationship, but it’s not like while I’m in those I’m getting attention from women outside of them, or getting matches, or able to have a lot of sexual partners. I’ve been doing all of them for the last 12 years. You’d think doing all of which you listed would put me in the to…

I feel like you ignore the men that do these things, and I have a feeling it’s because they lack the base physical traits like height or face. Hear me out. I live in a major city, and man almost every guy I see is doing everything you listed here, especially the clothing, grooming, and haircuts. I’ve lived in suburbs, and in college towns, and it’s the same thing. The only time I don’t see it is in super rural or low class areas. Unless you live in a rural area, you almost have to be lying that …

Yes, and if you don’t have the looks first the personality does not matter.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/22 07:04 PM

Depends on what bases we’re talking about. Height alone can and does make up for a lot, you combined an attractive face with height which is like 2 major bases to cover. Height can make up for lack in others, but this is arguably the make or break factor for most women.

I think this is sort of right, but Guy B has to have some sort of confidence to get laid. Like, even if a woman throws herself at him, he has to display some sort of level of confidence for anything to happen. If he seems to neurotic, or seems like he has severely low self esteem, or acts super nervous, or super awkward, or super submissive, or super autistic, she isn’t going to want him for very long, unless she doesn’t mind being more dominant in that situation. Of course if Guy B is like an 8…

The first guy looks so average in the photo we see. The second we can’t see more than the bottom half of his face, and his jaw is pretty underwhelming
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/22 06:37 PM

Yup, why would a woman fear rejection in the social context if she has had more previous experiences of acceptance? She has had no reason to believe she would.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/22 06:33 PM

It wouldn’t. Women barely read a guy’s profiles tbh, they swipe right if they find him attractive as women are on there for hookups mostly.

Harsh, it’s not fear of rejection or whatever BS you hear about as to why you’re not approached. If you’re never approached by women in your life, then you’re just not attractive

If I’m going to be a cum dumpster, he’s at least gonna be hot And there you go. You basically explained why it matters to men, because if you are able to get casual sex it means you are indeed physically attractive. That’s why men want it, they want to be part of the group that is chosen. Anyway, I have accepted it. It doesn’t mean I’m actually happy about it. I also don’t really bash women for it, or hate the way the system works, because if I could benefit from it I know for a fact I’d be part…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/22 01:00 AM

Yeah, the whole “there’s plenty of places to get a fix for sex” isn’t accurate because it misses the point why men want casual sex. Casual sex isn’t even about the sex for a man, it’s being seen as desirable enough to be able to have sex without commitment. Paying a hooker didn’t give a man that, it also says that you can’t get sex without paying, or giving some form of commitment
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/22 01:39 PM
5

Yup. At the end of the day I didn’t even qualify to have those experiences, because I just wasn’t attractive looking enough and I’m still not. I always found relationships easily as well, but there have been a couple of them where I just decided I could no longer be with them for that reason. It didn’t matter how much they loved me, how attracted they were to me based on their actions and stuff they said, how they were always super sexual with me, and tried whatever I wanted, that feeling always…

It is interesting how many men will complain that their wife doesn’t want to have sex anymore. Meanwhile he has also gained like 30 pounds since he met her.

Dude, you are being super combative about this for some reason. I’ve been on PPD under different accounts before. I just wanted some clarity on what you mean by “pricing yourselves” out.

/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 08:28 PM

It wouldn’t matter if you complain about n counts or not, it’s about how attractive looking you are. That’s really what determines if you can get laid as a guy, you have to meet the looks threshold for hookups.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 05:37 PM
3

I think it depends on the guy tbh. Some men just don’t care, usually these men also have high n counts too. If he even has a slight problem with it, yeah maybe you’re right.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 05:21 PM
10

Yeah, it’s just ego based. But for me I’m slightly different. I don’t care if she hooked up with other dudes, it’s that it’s a reminder that I wasn’t able to have my “fun” phase which is what I wanted. She really doesn’t even factor into my feelings.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 04:45 PM

Where was it?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/22 11:10 AM

Dude, you gotta be kidding me. You live in an entirely different reality. Tell you what, take your height off your tinder bio and put it as 5’6. See what happens
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/22 11:08 AM
1

It means you have no idea of the reality most of men live in. You really think women are charmed by your smile or your game, you’re probably just very attractive looking. You live in an entirely different reality than the rest of us. The most we can hope for is the occasional gf, hooking up isn’t even an option because we don’t pass the looks threshold to be considered hookup material.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/22 11:04 AM
2

Think about this every time I see one of these posts. They truly believe it’s something about them that they do, but really it’s just down to their looks is why they have success to begin with.

I was talking about the ones you slept with
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/22 10:45 PM

And how did those men look physically?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/22 09:22 PM
2

Seriously. I’m a guy who finds relationships easily, and I’ve never had a time where I’m perpetually single while looking for a relationship. I can find one with someone who does fit my standards physically and emotionally if I’m in the mindset to find one in like a month or two, even on OLD. But casual stuff is impossible and never happened. There are so many groups of men
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/22 02:24 PM
15

Yeah. I’m “nice”, but nice to me means “pleasant per normal people social contract”. Like that’s the default of what most people are. It doesn’t mean “do everything someone says”, it doesn’t mean “give millions of compliments”, it doesn’t mean “pay for her meal when it’s not even a date”, and it doesn’t mean “if someone gives you shit in a silver bowl, don’t just put salt on it and eat it”. Nice is the base, it’s how you act in a social environment if you want to function and not look like a str…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/22 02:10 PM
2

True, but if you’re on the lower end of average or below average, then your looks will still hold you back even from relationships. Average looking dudes can easily get relationships tbh, but if someone likes you for your looks then that’s them still wanting you. Your looks are part of you physically.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 10:46 PM

but really the thought makes me cringe enough to leave it as a last resort Honest question: why?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 10:34 PM

Seriously. Stylists to help teach you dress, and the best trainers money can buy to get you in shape. Like money opens so many doors to get you attractive looking.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 10:05 PM

I asked someone below this, but it’s relevant as well to you. Why not just use your money to make yourself physically attractive? Like there are so many surgeries that can change your physical appearance to that of being attractive. Hair transplants, jaw surgery, chin/jaw implants, fillers, if you’re rich even height. Why not mold yourself physically into the guy most women find physically attractive)
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/22 09:54 PM

I’m just pointing out it exists. Why is it every rich person will come to PPD and say “well they’ll just want my money”. Why not spend that money to make yourself attractive enough to get the attention without needing to show you’re rich?

Yeah. It’s not like these men who are struggling are just never around women, it’s that they’re not considered attractive by any of them. You can be friends with women for years, and she will never find you physically attractive
