All of these arguments demonstrate one simple reality, the people who make them have no empathy or sympathy for men. This is, in my opinion, what these arguments are really saying: Don’t help men because a woman sleeping on a couch is worse than a man sleeping on the street. Don’t help men because men are never victims of sex trafficking (not true) and a woman being trafficked is worse than a man being murdered or dying on the street. Don’t help men because they are to blame for all their proble…

Has feminism gone too far? Yes. Does it have anything to do with women’s freedom and autonomy? No, thats not why lots of us think feminism has gone too far. Freedom and autonomy should have nothing to do with constantly villainizing and shitting on men. The intro was all I needed to hear, I don’t need to listen to anymore of this moron’s opinions.

On the surface it sounds good, but I’d bet good money that their idea of helping men is teaching them that their misogyny and patriarchal attitudes are the cause of their suffering.

I know lots of men who will open up to another man and talk about their issues. They won’t use the same emotional language that women do, but they absolutely will talk. Research shows that the majority of men of who commit suicide reach out for help before they kill themselves. Stoicism as a product of patriarchy is a feminist myth. On the other hand, I know plenty of men who have learned through experience to never talk to a woman about their problems, sometimes even including their mothers. Wh…

The most interesting thing to me is that there is no male loneliness epidemic. There’s just a loneliness epidemic. Women experience roughly the same rates of loneliness as men. We are a social species and when society is filled with lonely people, something is fundamentally wrong with how society is functioning.

Not only did they ignore female perpetrators, they also ignored any and all male victims. If you were a man abused by a man, you were still told to shut up about it. It wasn’t about highlighting the issues of sexual assault en masse, it was just another round in the “women are victims, men are perpetrators” game.

Ideologically possessed people have their beliefs wrapped up in and supporting their ego. When you challenge their beliefs you are challenging their sense of self. That’s why you will never get them to consider an opposing viewpoint. If their beliefs are wrong then so are they, as a person, and to the possessed person, it’s a destruction of their entire self.

You highlight an important point. Giving women a way out of violent relationships lowered murder rates of men. It’s why you don’t see an equivalent drop in the murder of women: men have no way out.

Teenage boys in the UK are more likely to experience violence in their relationships than girls. Where are the education programs to teach young women how to behave properly?

Who gives a shit? Why are you advertising for this lady for free? Never heard of her before she was posted on this sub. Don’t promote ideas you hate, promote ideas you want to spread.

Feminism was a movement started by middle and upper class white women. They only cared about voting because black men were given the right.

Boko haram comes to mind. They killed thousands of men and boys, including killing 59 boys by lighting their school on fire, kidnapped over 10,000 boys, but when they kidnapped close to 300 girls the world finally paid attention.

The more important question, how common were credit cards prior to 1970? They weren’t very common at all. Society changes and adapts and always give women more when they demand more. That’s the opposite of oppression.

This is something I suspect but haven’t researched. I’d wager that from the start women are far less likely to even be arrested or charged with a crime after committing one. We see this in the case of domestic violence. At least in the US, the man is almost always the one arrested, not matter what.

The reason male suicide is so high is because they feel useless and hopeless. When they turn for help, they are ignored or worse, which compounds the feeling of worthlessness. Most men who commit suicide reach out for help before they do it, so no it’s not that men don’t release their emotions.

Women hate men who don’t fit their predefined definition of the male gender role. They’re doing some serious mental gymnastics to believe that attitude stems from misogyny. People who are that ideologically possessed are not capable of having different thoughts.

There are clearly researched and well known biological differences between men and women. It’s not a social construct, it’s not patriarchy, it’s not misogyny. To think otherwise is pure ignorance.

The world is mostly gynocentric. Women’s issues take front and center in most places and men’s issues are largely ignored.

I turned against feminism because I read feminist theory, feminist literature and the shared thoughts and opinions of many, many feminists.

You are right we are fundamentally social animals. And the suicide rates of young men are alarming. The only thing you can control in your life is yourself. Focusing on that you will bring you many benefits.

A romantic relationship shouldn’t be your primary goal anyways. Focus on yourself, find what brings you joy, do your best to spread that joy to everyone you meet. If you’re meant to find someone to share your life with, you’ll find them on your path of discovery. Dating apps don’t want you to be in a relationship anyway. As soon as you’re monogamous, you are no longer a customer. Apart from Reddit, I don’t use social media. It’s not built to help you, it’s built to be addictive and to keep you o…

Piling more shit on top of shit doesn’t make anything better. Do you want change or do you want revenge?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
