Somewhat tangential but I highly recommend the book "The Master Key System". It relates to meditation and training how you think. Some may feel its new-agey but it was written in 1912 by a 32nd degree Freemason. It has helped me a great deal

I started this company a little under 2 year ago and today I am making somewhere around 350k in profits in month Just curious: how long did it take to become even slightly profitable? I'm thinking maybe $1k/mo? Because that ramp up from nothing to six-figures monthly is incredible. We all know how it starts(nothing) but few of us know the progression from nothing to mediocre, then to "hey this might work" to "hey it's working" to "holy shit"

I have yet to meet anyone that would meet the east coast definition of alpha in SF Nobody at all? What about the alpha positions you mentioned in marketing, product management, etc?

I'm from white suburbs and I'd rather do coke than any of those 3 you just listed. Frankly I'd rather take mushrooms over any of them but that's a different subject.

I took the plunge nearly a year ago with my own consultancy and I couldn't be happier That's the other factor aside from being rich: being happy I'm all about a healthy resourceful lifestyle but not if it comes at the expense of someone's happiness.

And by your description this girl isn't even a "real" engineer? Or rather, she knows the guys on her team are better and I'd assume she doesn't really want to get much better. It's an industry that changes so fast and requires constant learning. If you don't keep learning you fall behind, or you have a nice rack that may work now too
