I actually think it's crap. Recently I saw some tiktoks where women explained that the man is supposed to be the provider, and wondered why they are spreading this patriarchal construct again. But in real life, a woman looking for a man who provides for her, is super rare, I never heard of a single one who actually wants that. I think it's made a bigger issue than it actually is, also bc wannabe-alpha-chads like Andrew Tate have a big influence these days

It's weird how we actually know that the whole gender role bs from TRP is stupid sonsense from a rational perspective, yet we cannot escape it

Thank you again. The reason why I did not go to therapy even though I had the possibility, was, that I thought I wasn't 'sick' enough. When I made the appointments, I always was at a very low point, but as I waited for the day to go there, I had days where I felt quite normal and human. I thought that there are people who have it way worse and still don't go to therapy. But then I reach a low point again like yesterday when I wrote this and realize I still need it. And I will think about the thi…

Thank you for your answer. I was already afraid that might seem like I'm trolling when I wrote that yesterday. Sometimes it's hard for myself to believe I really feel like that, some days it's a little better and I think more rationally, some days it's worse. The thing is that I never really wanted that submissive role, I always dreamed of a career as a psychologist or a doctor and a relationship where both partners are equal. That changed over time, maybe it was puberty, maybe TRP or both.

And I can guarantee you again that not all women want a super dominant masculine men. In fact, most of them like confident men who are happy with themselves, have the ability to deal with emotions, and don't try to be someone they are not.

The last sentence descirbes it very well. I read feminist stuff and studies that debunk all the TRP crap, but I just can't accept it

I feel that. I think that any man will cheat on me with a blonder, shorter, cuter girl. Because looks are all that counts. From a rational perspective: You are worthy no matter how old you are and you are way more than your looks and womb. I am sure you are a very smart woman, don't let that mindset make you believe something else

I actually thought about that as well. I have exclusively female friends, but except with one(who lives far away, sadly) I cannot talk about topics that interest me. They are kind people, but they rarely think about existential questions, art or psychology, which are the things that are interesting for me. In autumn, I will start studying psychology, maybe I will find some female friends there who match my interests. I have that 'I'm not like other girls' mindset quite often, I just don't say it…

Thank you for your kind answer, that means very much to me. I follow quite a lot if feminist accounts on IG and know much about how patriarchal constructs influence us, but my mind won't really 'accept' that as a fact. Somehow, a part of my brain thinks that feminism is an ideology, and only biological explanations for gender differences are true. From a rational perspective, I know that's not the case, but the 'redpill' part of me tells me that it is. And most of the time, the latter is stronge…

Thank you for the recommendation! I will buy and read it if it's that good. The 'infantilized, 2 dimensional shell of a woman' is exactly what I see myself as at the moment. I hope that my post didn't trigger your former self hatred, that really wasn't my intention

Ironically, I dated a guy who was weaker and shorter than me for a quite long time. I never cared about if he was strong or something, it's just that I have the weird thought that I must be hit because I am a woman and somehow I also like the thought(or think I like it, idk)

Thanks for your answer! My fantasies are both sexual and relationship related. For example I get turned on by the thought of rape. And sometimes I imagine having a relationship with a violent guy who hits me if he doesn't like the taste of the food I cook or if I don't want to sleep with him. Sounds very weird I know

Thanks for your detailed answer. I already had two appointments with two different therapists but canceled them before actually starting therapy. I made another appointment a few days ago and I try to go there this time. I just can't really think of a certain event in my childhood where something super traumatic happened. My dad was very aggressive, one time he warned me that he might hit me, but he didn't. I was also bullyied by exclusively boys at school, but those things happen to so many peo…

I heavily relate to 2. Before I entered the red pill space, I alraedy thought that I have nothing to say, but sometimes I had a spark of confidence, now it's mostly gone

Yes, I did, but I already know that the whole red pill stuff is bs from a scientific perspective. I just can't get it out of my head

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
