| 3 | A woman who is good-looking, fit, and can cook and keep house is to a feminist like a cross to a vampire.Man, this sounds dumb but to ME, a feminist should then support that woman and her decision to be fit, cook and keep house. There was a family guy episode (and the movie Smile Mona Lisa) that actually went over this, and how Lois WANTED to be a housewife, and that was her choice and the other feminist in the episode needed to accept that. I feel like there are two forms of feminism, the feminists stuck on the "break out of the kitchen ladies! Take down the man" viewpoint, and feminists who just … | /r/MensRights | 04/11/12 06:33 PM |
| 3 | Victimization has driven me away from mostly female subreddits...Personally, I get annoyed by Mary Sue characters, because they get over-emphasized in their perfection of everything else, and then only have one glaring flaw (Ginny from harry potter for example, was popular, a good witch, brave, etc, but obnoxious. Where as Hermione, had several flaws, such as closed-mindedness, arrogance, and well, kinda annoying. But she was an amazing character.) and the girls are "supposed" to identify with her. | 0 | The "War On Women." Discuss.War one women in politics? Not much of one at all, except when it comes to where you stand on abortion rights and (sometimes) birth control. War on women in society? Still going strong. Men just are getting attack from both the legal side and the society side. :/ Wars on Women are really just in the middle east, in terms of rights and life. | /r/MensRights | 22/10/12 02:22 AM |
| 1 | On my campus, a mass e-mail was sent out urging everyone to be careful due to the reports of two women who were left 'shaken' after two men walked behind them in the same direction for a bit.Sounds like a very silly use of Police time. The women were probably insecure and paranoid. I go on my guard when i notice someone following me around (by which I mean I will go out of my way to take an odd route and they still keep with it) but I don't go reporting it. | /r/MensRights | 22/10/12 02:14 AM |
| 1 | TED: Men = 2 talks. Women? 38 talks. Are there really only 40 TED talks? I thought they were endless O.o I feel like this is the Bechdel movie test - it doesn't prove that TED is sexist, or that the talks themselves are, it just shows the fact that there needs to be a change. | /r/MensRights | 22/10/12 02:07 AM |
