If you think of staying with parents as saving income for entertainment, it makes more sense. How I look at it, video games are just popular. Some games, if it isn't known by now, are completely free to play, with things you can pay for. It's cheaper to stay at home, save on rent and other personal expenses, and play video games than to go out to the bar, buy and consume drinks, and impress a lady.
