You misunderstand. It's not whether or not she made it up, it's whether or not I care. And I don't. Not one little bit. Just giving you back what those falsely accused get every day. You're welcome. Your language absolutely implied that my friend was a liar...but okay, I still don't understand the disagreement here. Never asked you to care, and I never said that I don't care about victims who are falsely accused? I also never expected that my personal experiences should be taken to heart by othe…

Wow, I didn't want to revisit this thread because it was pretty sad, but figured 'what the hell' I'll see what you had to say, and I'm kicking myself for skimming over all of your complete bullshit now. With every point you are STILL unable to provide educated examples or speak in an eloquent way - calling me a "bitch, princess, idiot" ...like, are you actually 14 years old? AND saying that my friend who was raped, apparently made it all up (gee, I had no idea that saying "no" and then being thr…

Uh, cause it's not? It's mean, nasty, uncaring behaviour, but it's not a 'social stigma, not even a little bit. So ostracism and bullyng of an individual by their community is just considered to be "mean" which for some reason doesn't fit into [or is a separate thing] from the definition of Social Stigma? "Social stigma is the extreme disapproval of a person or group on socially characteristic grounds that are perceived, and serve to distinguish them, from other members of a society. Stigma may …

You're kidding , right? First off how is being harassed after a rape NOT a social stigma of sorts? The fact that this is even a 'thing' should make everyone disgusted and enraged. Rehteah killed herself because of the negative social stigma and isolation she faced after the incident. Victims are bullied into feeling shame, sometimes over an night that they can't even remember (such as the Steubenville victim finding out about her rape after if was videotaped and put on the internet ). Not to men…

I was just thinking this. People are jumping the gun a little with this whole thing; she made a claim in order to try and mend a sloppy situation (which yes, makes her a horrible person)..but with all the evidence they have, this was clearly consensual, so I don't think anything is actually going to happen in terms of an arrest. As many as 30 witnesses were present who said she was wide awake (not passed out), was seemingly enjoying it all, and even went home with him...how can an arrest even be…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
