I agree with you about the writing style, though I suspect that's more to do with how the author markets his stuff. It's not just applicable to women, I'm sure we all have some high-drama men in our lives, and not just stereotypically flamboyant gay guys.

Incredibly smart.. depends in what area. Tapeworms, man! I gots the mad skillz. Bovine parasites, liver flukes, water-bourne nematodes, I am DOWN wit dat shit. I roll up in the club and some shorty be like 'Hi Doctor, so my cat is having this problem doctor.' and I'm all 'BAM! Shit's roundworms yo, now back that fine ass up.', and she be 'You the man, doctor.'

dude, it's THE GAME ITSELF that makes you hate women. What tripe. Taking women off the unreasonable pedestal we put them on and just relating to each other as humans with human urges and failings is one of the most respectful things you can do. they're all about teaching you how to be a successful misogynist. I think you need to work on your inner game bro. Hating yourself or others does not make for the kinds of interactions you need to get good at to succeed in the game.

"America... Always first to congratulate itself on being the land of the free and the home of the brave. Always last with the freedom and the bravery." - mangled recollection of something Dan Savage said.

I was banned from the Men's Studies subreddit and I'd never even posted there. I was banned for something I posted in the Men's Rights reddit. Exact same story here, but on both sides. Never posted in either subreddit. Perhaps I come off as a troll or something. NO MIDDLE GROUND!

Looking around me, here in South Africa, I'd say that yeah - women are more limited, more harmed, more disempowered by traditional gender roles than men. I think that's probably true for most of the world's 7 billion or so people. For example.

And... what precisely does this have to do with traditional gender roles or demonization of men?

much of that demonization is driven by feminism I don't think it is. I see demonization of men in traditional double standards and social expectations. Traditional views hold masculinity to be strong, violent, aggressors physically and sexually. The 'real man' of lore was the frontiersman, the mariner or the soldier, not the dentist or accountant. It portrays women as victims and property, to be protected. Blaming feminism for these views of men is misguided. They simply don't want to be propert…

I've never heard a feminist oppose prostate cancer funding. It just gets less press because breast cancer is a sexier marketing tool for corporations.

Agree. There's little to be gained by being reactionary, and defining ones movement by what one is against. Being against feminism is pretty meaningless anyway - look at the wikipedia page on feminism, there are dozens and dozens of movements and groups calling themselves feminist with different ideas and goals. Some are quite crazy, eg Dworkin et al - I don't oppose crazy ideas because someone calls them feminist, but because I consider myself a sane and reasonable person. Likewise I find Marxi…

Or by threat of some kind, say to fail someone from a course or other coercion, in some legal contexts it can even mean sex by deception, like promising to marry someone and then not doing so, or passing oneself of as your twin brother to sleep with his girlfriend. I guess it could also mean statutory, buy I doubt they could get real numbers on that when both parties are willing participants.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
