| 1 | When did you know it was over?Same situations as you, OP, it was over when counseling was rebuffed - wouldn’t even give it a try despite me funding it (like everything else). That’s when it was over. Nothing about the marriage would change, in fact, it was going to get worse. At least propose counseling to get the reaction. House is eerily silent when kids are gone, but you know what - I love that it’s my vibe - which is whatever I want to make it for myself, and for the kids & I. It’s positive, active, and light and without the dark cloud or mood uncertainty that my STBX increasingly brought over the years. So, making this space my own: Redecorating, keeping things tidier, and picking up some household hobbies. It’s freeing, even the small stuff. Glad your Pops is ok.
